ChanceSchmerr Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 The big trip is almost upon me! Tommorow, me and fiancee travel to Seattle via the "Clipper", stay with my Aunt/Uncles, and Friday morning - off to Portugal for 16 days of well-needed vacation! I post now only because tommorow I will work until the last possible moment before dashing home to gather my suitcases and fiancee, and heading down to the Clipper dock. As I've posted - I am hopeful of at least a small trip across the Spanish border to pick up some of the lauded Spanish selection of Habanos......but at the very least, I get a 2 hour layover in Madrid Airport - Duty Free, here I come! I'll be back on August 3rd, and although I will try get online as much as possible, I'm told the village I'm staying in is rather rustic.....so we'll see how much I can report back of our hilarious travels. Ken has put me into contact with a lovely lady in Porto so hopefully some great Port wine tours are in the cards (Thanks for that, Ken!) Until then - Does anyone have any suggestions of what I should be looking for in Spain? I will be focusing on the discontinueds as always, but failing that - heres what I was thinking to look for - any other recommendations? Otherwise, take care everyone! Catch you back in a few weeks! What I thought to look for... Sancho Panza Quijote RE Espana (C'mon Altadis....release these puppies before I leave the continent!) SLR Petit Coronas Ramon Allones Grandes RE Espana ERDM Petit Coronas Vegas Robaina Maestros RE Espana Trinidad Fundadores Partagas 8-9-8 Partagas P2

MontrealRon Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 Wish you both a wonderful vacation, Chris! I still have great memories of a week in Lisbon, hundreds of years ago, when I was around your age. Don't forget to bring a few smokes with you, as you probably won't find much in a small village.
Habanos2000 Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 Be honest, are you taking this trip JUST for the cigars?
