Rob, I hope this is okay, if not please take down.

A woman, her 10 year old daughter and their 2 dogs were struck by a hit and run driver. The piece of crap did not even have the deceny to stop. 20 months later, due to Annabelle's severe injuries, and our joke of a medical system she has been unable to get the care she needs. She has also lost her job, home, car, and is in the process of being evicted from her apartment because she does not have the money to pay her rent.

On the link below there is a small tab just below the paypal button that has a full broadcast of the story.

It would be nice to see this story on as many boards as possible. Hopefully, if you have a little extra this month, or can do without a cigar for a day, you can give a little to help out.

This story has truly touched me. It has reminded me just how lucky I am, and that in a moments notice I can all be stripped away.

Thanks for posting I cannot speak for Rob but if this forum, on occasions cannot help a worthy cause, even thought the world is full of worthy causes myself included ;) . then i feel we have missed the mark

A sad story. An investigation has found some clues, however. It seems that the driver was on his way home from COHIBAR. Reportedly, he was drunk and claims that he has no memory whatsoever of the incident.

But in all seriousness, this is a truly sad story.

best put that down to nuances being lost over the internet Khom - I always think if things don't makes sense online (esp on a forum like this) it's because the poster hasn't put the point across properly. ho hum

I agree. Just playing a card. Perhaps poorly.

Hit and runs a sensitive issue for me. Everybody is going to have their particular sensitivites of course. Just wanted to show support for the original intent of the post. And I recognize that several of my posts have lacked 'taste.' lol.

Cheers and take all of my discourse (bs) with requisite salt

Sounds like a good cause but there are millions of good causes out there, where do we draw the line in whats worth posting and not, whats worth donating for and not.

I would say that is for you to decide Reg. I merely posted it because it touched me when I heard the story, and I really felt for the women.

I think having no family, and no where to turn in a situation like that has got to be one of the worst things that can happen to a person.
