El Presidente Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 Successful and enjoyable two days at our warehouse The Good. late 09 and early 10 stock is proving to be a real winner. Quality is way up on previous years. Our thoughts early last year that the production slowdown of 09 would likely lead to better quality stock across the board is coming to fruition. some blistering good piramides and robusto's and some of the best cabs of HDM DC and Punch DC I have seen in years. Monte 4 PC's quality is superb. Real effort being made on the long skinnies. The Bad. Upmann no 2, Sancho Panza, much of R&J is on struggle street. Still predominantly 08 stock and hard to tease out winners. We have but not in any quantity. The Ugly Discontinued stock is almost non existent and there is little quality to what remains. I do enjoy the couple of days of selecting quality stock for FOH'ers. it certainly crystallizes were things are at this point in time and after the disappointments of chronic under-filling we have had to deal with over the past couple of years, I am at the most "upbeat" I have been in some time.

We did locate a few HQ boxes but they are spoken for as it was a specific request. Looked through a ton of Upmann 2 boxes and only one made the PE standard outside of the HQ's spoken for. The story for the Monte and VR was different. Glorious boxes. It has been a number of months since we have seen the same with the Upmann 2.
Habanakane21 Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 I had just received a box of H.Upmann box for The Czar and one cigar had a box cutter slice in it and 4 cigars had what looked like to me like water spots on them. Not the best box I've every gotten. Especially for my first order.

Not the best box I've every gotten. Especially for my first order. That is not acceptable. Water spots are not something I consider to be an issue but a cut is unnaceptable. Contact Lise to get replacements. All good.

I know that we are going to make some mistakes each month which is just being human but we try to learn from them.

Unfortuantely there are two cigars bludgeoned with a fish hook. There was a loose yellow lure and what appears to be a Pirates earing in the box. I emailed Lisa for a replacement and she told me to get lost. Can you help or at least identify the responsible party? Thanks
