DrKnow
fabulous scenary. lure or fly? how big do they get there? Most of the time the plastic lure works best. I would say the average size Striper is about 5-10lbs. I have seen Stripers in the 20-30 lbs caught there. Usually caught trolling in deeper water 50-60 feet. joeypots
Stripers get up to 90 lbs, but those are records. I caught on in shallow salt water and it was 48", I didn't weigh it and I let it go. Could have been 40 lbs. They have been introduced into fresh water in the USA and those fish are now getting huge. The fresh water ones are short and fat compared to the salt water ones. http://www.arkansasstripers.com/striped-ba...all-of-fame.htm Buy this book if you can find it. I kid you not, it is the best fishing reference I have ever seen. I'd pay up to $100 us for a good copy. The entry for Blue Fin Tune is worth the price of the book alone. http://www.amazon.com/McClanes-Standard-Fi...l/dp/B000BMZ048
