Why were YOU smoking a cigar on your bachelor party? Shouldn't you have been sitting in the chair while someone else was smoking the cigar...?

Kanga...you crack me up...

Favorite cigar overall the CoRo.

Best single cigar I ever had was a Taboada Cananazo smoked on a spring turkey hunt that somehow possed flavors that I have never seen before.???? Total magic alone in the woods on a cool spring morning.

Thanks Guys some really good stories along with some magnificent Cigars ,along with some really touching moments in life ,which confirms what i have always known ,that is Cigars are more than just a smoke, they are markers on the road in the journey of life.

So true mate.. A reason why I know that even being only 24, I will never stop smoking cigars. An addition to life that cannot be compared to.

My most memorable is the one that got me started down the path of CC's.

I have been chasing the dragon ever since.

I have no idea of the box code but I bought it (while on a trip abroad) from a dealer and smoked it immediately.

I bought it because it was the best I could afford.

This was in '86 so I can only assume it was an '86.

Cohiba, Coronas Especiales. There's nothing like your first.

"I smoked just one cigar with my dad before he died, so I guess that'd be it. I was just out of high school, and it made me sicker than ****."

As sad and touching as that is, it made me laugh.

We've discussed this before, but i love how the 'best' cigar one has, often has nothing to do with the cigar.

Now that is life!

I know your meaning mate.

I am rather partial to Padrons (NC) as it always reminds me of my dad. Each time he and I headed out hunting we used to smoke Padron #35's. To this day, I often light one up for the memories. (The cigar itself is nothing great to write home about, it's smokeable) :cigar:

Smoking fake CoRo's with my pops on the back deck of his house in South Florida, more about the moment than the cigar.........

then I kicked his ass for trying to pass off Cohibas as the real deal, neither one one of us knew the difference at the time, did some research on authentic Cubans and thats how I got hooked on Cuban cigars starting last August :)

Partagas D4 reserva 2000 the night before my good mate's wedding about 4 years ago. I gifted him one and we sat on the balcony of the surf club at Noosa on a balmy night talking about old times.

what a tough question. how much to you include circumstances, the friends with whom you are smoking, the memories from the entire event - or is it simply an objective look at cigars?

rob very kindly brought around some old davidoffs a while back. i had the margaux from memory and loved it. small cigar but a joy and i have no doubt that sharing it on the balcony with a few drinks made it a bit more special.

otherwise, the SLR DC's from 2001 were stunning, the tang monarchs from 02. 03 sig VI's. on an early trip to havana sans the gang, i got a couple of doz robusto's from hamlet. i had intended to try one and bring the rest home but they were just soooooo good that i went through them like wildfire.

so many line ball but for a purely sublime smoke, one of the very large ones rolled by hamlet - don rodolfo, i think, from a few visits ago is probably the absolute most majestic smoke i have had. it was at the havana airport - the other guys had all left for home but i had another 6 hours as i was off to spain. i sat upstairs and read my book, had a cristal (terrific cuban beer) and smoked this. it was the most ethereal, glorious smoke imaginable and took me several hours. heaven.

when hamlet gets it right, as he so often does, that will do me.

I have not had the pleasure of trying one of Hamlets stellar creations ,but the joy in your words is palpable :)
