El Presidente Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 Smithy, Warren and myself delve into the world of the Connie 2
Bartolomeo Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 Great review fellas! Do you think these Connie #2 will be comparible to the Partagas de Partagas #1 or Seleccion Privada down the road? Bart
PADDYWHACK121272 Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 Great review as usual - discontinued sampler arrived this morning - what a selection of beauties - a suitable swan song for some unique cigars....
Kangaroo495 Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 Smoked a Connie #1 last night. What a stellar cigar!
shrink Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 "This is a cigar that makes you a smart-ass just by picking it up". Can there be any doubt? This review inspired me to light up an '03 No. 2. Everything you said, in a smoother, more mature package. Add: some floral aromas and notes of chocolate on the finish.
LiLo Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 HAHA! LOL when you looked at warren and said " you have anything intelligent to say? " haha!
ucla695 Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 Great review guys... now I "need" a box of these too.
Warren Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 HAHA! LOL when you looked at warren and said " you have anything intelligent to say? " haha! Funny that he asked me? Or funny that I would have something intelligent to say?
cigaraholic Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 Another great review! God bless you Smithy, slow those boys down. Where's the fire except in your hands. I thought the idea/art was to smoke as slow as possible without letting your cigar go out. Rob just wants you to get back to work.
Colt45 Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 Funny that he asked me?Or funny that I would have something intelligent to say? I vote for door number two.
PartagasIV Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 Great review. One of my top three smokes and the one I have the most boxes of.
aavkk Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 gonna really miss these, we are going to look back on this review in 8 years with nostalgia.
Warren Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 gonna really miss these, we are going to look back on this review in 8 years with nostalgia. I think I'll look back on it in 8 years from an old peoples home.
LiLo Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 Funny that he asked me?Or funny that I would have something intelligent to say? Haha actually just funny how he asked you, the way he said it was funny. I actually enjoy you in the reviews. The partagas Serie D #4 2004 review is one of my favorites.
Colt45 Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 I think I'll look back on it in 8 years from an old peoples home. Probably more like four.....
Warren Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Probably more like four..... Thanks Colt, no really thanks. Being married to an American has prematurely aged me.
Warren Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Haha actually just funny how he asked you, the way he said it was funny. I actually enjoy you in the reviews. The partagas Serie D #4 2004 review is one of my favorites. I always enjoy doing the reviews. Apart from the enjoyment of a fine cigar, when we get together we just laugh our arses off. Just remember, when an Aussie takes the piss it just means he likes you. I think.
asmith Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 Just remember, when an Aussie takes the piss it just means he likes you.I think. Ayala doesn't like anyone having a free cigar on the deck.
GP012 Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 Rob, wtf is with the water? I had one of these the other night for my birthday from Jamie (PartagasIV). Little rough near the end but definitely something I'd like to get a box of.
arnehd Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 Thanks for this review. Just had an oppulent breakfast, but listening to the description makes me want to grab a spoon and dig into desert. It sounded like Tiramisu (the grandma recipe) in cigar form. Why does habanos want to stop the production to make more room for mediocre products? Sorry, but something like the Monte Opens is about as usefull as athletes foot! Best regards from old Europe, Arne
stargazer14 Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 A Partagas I have not tried but certainly will now. Thanks.
