-Really nice construction, draw and burn

-Chocolate brown, slightly oily wrapper

-First half had flavours like toasted bread and milk coffee

-Second half lost milk from the coffee and coffee flavour strengthtened. Introducing some cocoa, leather and pepper

-Nice nicotine kick (I'm not usually after this)

-Awesome smoke, no need for aging, it's ready now!

I agree and disagree! Great smoke. I smoked through 7 of these within the first month of getting them. They smoked great! After a month or so they turned on me. I think these have huge potential with a few years on them. Can't wait and need to buy more boxes of these soon.

I've smoked one..........

let's just say I didn't much care for it :)

In FoH video review Ken and Rob complained that Dukes were inconsistent. I guess I was lucky or you were not.

To me, therein lies the rub - I don't think we should have to rely on luck of the draw.

And you smoke Cubans, right? :P

Seriously, it depends on how lucky you have to be to get a good box. I have no idea what's the ratio between good and bad boxes with Dukes.

I just know that I loved the one I smoked.

I love these cigars so I bought a couple of boxes. One box to smoke right now and a couple to age. Of the (3) I've had out of the first box, they were all spot on. Perfect draw and razor sharp burn.

Lots of cream and coffee for me with the same toasted bread flavor you described. :P

I've been debating whether to get a box of these. I'm usually not a Limitada guy, but these have me interested. I'd put these away for years before testing. Thanks for all the great info.

I have smoke few days ago... Actually, didn't impressed.

Strong nuts, soft smoke and taste, aftertaste is long enought. But it's seemed qiute linear...

What do you think, gentlemen?

I've got a box of these and smoked one a month or 2 after I received them. I gotta say, from a looks perspective, these cigars were fantastic. Unfortuantely, they were lacking something in the flavor department (somewhat muted and rather one dimensional). I guess it's time to pull these out again for another try.

I've had several of the Dukes and love them.

Its funny how hit and miss these have been with people....?

You either lkike these or hate them, I for one like them. :D

Put me down as one who loves them. I bought one box after reading the reviews. Smoked three, then ordered 5 more boxes. I tried to hide them from myself so I could resist for a few years, but not sure it will work.

Anyway, great out of the box. Bound to get better with time.

Smoked a couple gifted ones. Straight forward tobacco flavor with that "standard EL taste". Would not buy them.

I smoked one a bunch of months ago and was very turned off. Extremely one-dimensional. Then again, I've never found a recent RyJ that I liked.......

Give me Monte Sublimes 08 LE over the Dukes any day of the week!

A year after this review I revisited this box and smoked 3rd from it.

1/3: Smooth, milk coffee and bread, medium body

2/3: Chocolate mousse with a hint of coffee, medium body, I'm loving this cigar!

3/3: Black coffee, leather, hint of spice and cocoa, regular RyJ flavors, medium to full body.

Really good cigar. This is as good as they'll get! I have to smoke them all within a year.

Good as they'll get sounds like you would give 100 points out of 100 for the cigar, or is it that you have doubts on the potential?

Tomorrow I'm cracking my box open, just to see how they are doing, the last one I smoked, was beautiful, just full of chocolate and cherries :P

Hate to be a buzz-kill but I went through a box and was very dissapointed. Burn was very poor and flavor was closer to charcoal than the flavors I like.

Lots of hype but all in all a poor cigar.

What is the box code and where did you get it from? What humidity do you maintain your humidor at?

I have a box at the bottom at the bottom of my Humidor. I think I might wait another year or two. I think they will only get better. Smoked a single when they first came out and it was good but not amazing like they should be.

Thank you
