yossie
???? It seems I couldn't make a poll thread.. I was trying to post a poll. Which do you choose with the same money? 1. A box of Padron 1926 #9 2.20 sticks of custom rolled cigar by the Cohiba behike roller.
Colt45
1. A box of Padron 1926 #92.20 sticks of custom rolled cigar by the Cohiba behike roller. If the behike roller is using all top Cuban tobacco, I'll take the 20 custom rolls, thank you.
Guest rob
Id even take 10 of the custom rolls over a box of Padrons #9.... and I actually quite like the Padron.
MIKA27
Tough choice Yossie because I quite like Padrons.
Buch0
Yer I guess it depends on the tobacco used by the Cohiba roller, but at this point I would definitely be inclined to chose those over the Padron.
Tampa1257
There are only 3 rollers that I value their work enough to "Blindly" make that decission yossie, and whomever rolled the Behike is not one of them. It comes down to the tobacco being used in the custom rolled cigars. In this case, I would take the Padron's. If the Custom Rolled cigars are not Reynoldo, Hamlet or La China, they are not very high on my list.
Mr. Japan
Somebody said in an interview.............I will always have Cuba on my lips! I love repeating it ;-)

cigarros
Padron probably cool producer, but in my list definitely cuban custom rolled cigar if they are made from the top cuban tobacco ))

laficion
I would choose ANY 5 custom rolled Cubans against ANY 10 boxes of Padron's, Anytime & Everytime I can't make it any clearer
demiurgic
gone thru 4-5 boxes of PAdrons so far, and am sure they have a one dimensional flavor, i happen to like. Being said, I'd choose Habanos, all day long Baby!
Ellery
Id take the custom rolled anytime.
BobLobLaw
How available are the custom rolls? Because while I do like Padron its not like they ever become hard to find and they are always ready to smoke. So if the window to get the custom rolls is tight I would go that route. Colt45
I thought La China rolled the Behikes. According to CA magazine, the roller of the original behike was Norma Fernandez Sastre.
tugboat
I thought La China rolled the Behikes. From what I've read, Norma Fernandez Sastre rolled all 4000 Cohiba Behike cigars and still works at the El Laguito cigar factory. I'd take the custom rolled over the Padron's
thechenman
I am a fan of the Padron Anniversary 1926 line, and the No. 9 is on of my favorites in this range. However, as has been stated multiple times...if it is top grade Cuban leaf...I would easily and happily go with the custom rolls.
tigger
Either the custom rolled, or neither, depending on who the roller was.
aavkk
Yea, but much more importantly than who ROLLED the Behike's is who BLENDED the behikes. Thats what makes Hamlet so special, he can do both exceptionally well along with very few others. Can you attest to how much experience "Norma Fernandez Saste" has blending??? Yossie, I can hook you up with Padron's if you want and you know that. Pass on the customs unless they are Hamlet, La China, Taboada or Reynaldo, IMO! Colt45
Can you attest to how much experience "Norma Fernandez Saste" has blending??? I've absolutely no idea what her blending qualifications are. But given that she was chosen to roll the behike as well as the 30th anniversary cohiba double corona (according to the same ca article), I'd be willing to take a chance that she has some knowledge of tobacco. Like a new food or new wine, you won't know if you like it or not unless you give it a try
yossie
Yes. The roller was Norma and without saying, She used Cuban leave. I don't know how the quality of tobacco was. better or worse, She left the shop and can't get her anymore..
