So you are French? Your post was the words of a Frenchman... I think the first time my French friend tried Vegemite, he had exactly the same reaction.

Must have been closer to "Putain de merde". In Quebecois (slang) French : "ostie d'criss de marde" ("****in' disgusting ****"). But I like it a lot. Whenever a friend or relative travels to Australia, I ask him/her to bring me a couple of jars of that dark good goo working wonders for the bamboo. But for me too, it's a solitary pleasure: the wife also asks me to brush my teeth after eating vegemite...
