For some reason, I can count the number of barely bearable ads in Singapore from the past 5 years on one(free) hand. Most of them tend to take themselves too seriously(Singtel), are too pretentious(Starhub) or just plain unfunny(M1). Incredibly enough, these companies are all telcos.
