El Presidente Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Welcome to the Regional Release Poll Number two I have taken the most popular from our first poll and added some wild cards which attracted me (They were some of Fatcigars suggestions). You may select two cigars only. The purpose of the exercise is to do some market research that may assist PCC in future Regional Release selections.
mkz Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 I found the Ramon Allones Corona Gorda and Bolivar Lanceros most appealing...
Jimmy2 Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Rafael Gonzalez Conicales (torpedo 52x156) sound very intresting and would be a winner in my eyes my other pick well you know what that is from the other thread .
sounddust Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 2 new lanceros would be nice, and I'm intrigued by the LFDC Robustos.
kjellfrick Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Bolivar and Ramon Allones Lanceros. I'd really enjoy these!
neal875 Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 A Lancero from Bolivar? Elegant and fun. I will take all the non-plugged ones they can roll.
sounddust Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Can we also vote for how much they should cost??? Life would truly be beautiful . . . .
pnutbutrsangwich Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 OMG... EVERYONE PLEASE VOTE FOR THE LFDC Robusto! This would be the most rediculously cool, best sought after, highly collectible RE made anywhere by anyone! I'd buy 20 boxes. If this idea "dies on the table" then it will be a true tragedy! I've also said for years that there needs to be an RA Laguito #2. I'll settle for a Laguito #1 We should also remember that an RA Corona Gorda has pretty much already been done, a Bolivar Lancero is coming this year from Germany (Elegantes), and an LGC Robusto is on the table for 09 from somewhere (can't remember off the top of my head).
sliver54 Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 I would also love to see two new lanceros introduced
Jimmy2 Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 collectible ? Cigars are ment to be smoked LOL Qoute ..pnutbutrsangwich (We should also remember that an RA Corona Gorda has pretty much already been done) It was done in very limited numbers !!!! Also most people here dont collect cigars we smoke them the way they are ment to be and this size fits the bill for cigar smokers. I love lancero but i dont want to pay top $$$ for plugged cigars (and yes i dont care what others say their will be plugged cigars in the boxes) and no age wont make them draw better thats the biggest misconception. If it blended right and rolled right from day one you will have an excellant cigar young period.
bassman Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 IMHO, the RA REs have consistantly been the best of the bunch. Keep them coming!

I love corona gordas and Ramon Allones as much or more than the next guy. However, what I like best is stuff that's different. So far some of the stuff from RA that we've gotten... 05 Seleccion Suprema 5.6 x 46 05 Eminencia 5.6 x 44 07 Eminencia 5.6 x 44 (re-released and still available at many swiss vendors) 09 Britanicas 5.4 x 46 (this year's RE for the Asia/Pacific region) I know that these aren't all that widely released, but I think that the intent of this whole program is more akin to putting out special, unique cigars. Yet another RA in this size range seems redundant to me. Additionally, the old LFDCs are monumentally unique cigars. While the old blend would be difficult to replicate, this would be an historic release in my opinion. I think this is a great opportunity! Also, consider that the A-P region encompasses the Hong Kong collectors. They'd go nuts over this cigar. It would be a sell-out in a matter of weeks.
Van55 Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 I voted for the two lanceros models, notwithstanding that there will be a German version of the Bolivar Especiales [#2] ( Vitola Delicados -- 7 1/2" x 38) this year. As I said on the other thread, a Bolivar measuring 7 1/2" x 40 (Laguito Especial No. 1) would be unique.
Jimmy2 Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 You have a point !!! I also like to see more LGC cigars..
BigGuns Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 I found the Ramon Allones Corona Gorda and Bolivar Lanceros most appealing... Agreed. I would look forward to both. 2nd combo choice would be the two Lanceros.
bassman Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 RA Brttainiacs for Asia Pacific? I thought we were getting RA Celestial Finos?
pnutbutrsangwich Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 RA Brttainiacs for Asia Pacific? I thought we were getting RA Celestial Finos? Yep, they're one in the same
Evo03 Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 I gotta go with the Bolivar and RA Lancero. Although it would be great to try the La Flor de Cano Short Churchill.
