In october I have a wedding to attend in cancun and I planning on checking out the Casa while I'm there. I'm curious to know what sort of accessories they carry specificly ashtrays or cigar carring cases. From those of you who have been to a Casa before, could you tell me what they carry aside from cigars and what I should expect to pay?

At LCDH you can find the following:

Cigar Cutters (expensive and cheap.)

Lighters

Cigar carring cases

Ashtrays

Books

Souvenirs (in some usually the major ones, not sure about cancun)

and some have VINTAGE room :) I remember seeing one in Lebanon airport (which is meant to be one of the biggest LCDH at an airport, 400 sqm of pure heaven) they had some millenium jars (Cuabas, Cohibas etc... you could buy one for $2 000 USD).

And of course cigars :D

Have fun and take photos when you are there.

No vintage room at Cancun LCDH, but they do have a small seating area outside in back overlooking a lagoon. You can sit out there drinking a mojito and enjoy a cigar. There was also a small pool that I think was available for use by customers, but I could be wrong about that. I didn't pay much attention to accessories, but be aware that cigars in Mexico are expensive compared to internet prices. Still, it's fun to walk into a cigar shop and have the option to buy CC for citizens of a certain country.

Enjoy!

Ok, thanks for the feedback. I'm looking forward to actually seeing a Casa Del Heaven. I'm stopping at Casa Fuente before i hit Cancun and I'm looking to get a carrying case similar to Xikar's Envoy and/or an ashtray at these places. Having never been to either one, I was wondering what my options will be. It sounds like I will have plenty of options at Casa Del Heaven.

Thanks for the pics! Sure does bring back memories. I've only been there once, and must have been too star-struck to take photos or remember much of the humidor. All I can remember were the Edmundo Dantes they had and the ruffled up MRN Encyclopedia. It's quite a shame how that book was in such bad shape.

Last time I was there, back in Oct 2001, I bought a couple sticks and a Trinidad T-shirt which I still wear. I aslo remember a Melia hotel along the eastern coastline that had a pretty decent selection to choose from as well.

Have fun!
