For the last 5 days i can not taste that much but the most noticeable thing is when it comes to cigars all I can say is bland bland bland.

I think its allergies when the hell is this going to go away?

Also any remedies for others that have gone threw this horrible problem in the past.

I started using Claritin this year. Apparently I'm allergic to grass and oak pollen. I'm getting pretty good results, so far.

jimmy, if you have, or have recently had, a cold or flu then no real worries and all should be well (i'm currently battling a miserable cold so have largely been off the cigars as no point, tho did have an LGC 2 last night that i got a bit from.

if not, worth a trip to the doc as i have known a couiple of winemakers suddenly afflicted with the same thing. never came back and they had to change jobs.

i am assuming that your sense of smell is also out?

so it wold be better, in the very unlikely event that jimmy has the same thing, to keep stum and let him lose the ability to enjoy a cigar for the rest of his natural, than give him an early warning and perhaps nip it in the bud?

if you can't think of jimmy's well being, think what that would do to your bottom line!

Do you think it could be the soil?

Jimmy,

In all seriousness when was last time you rinsed your sinuses? Especially this time of year in the Northeast, pollen is out of control. I find it an indispensable defense against sinusitis, allergies, and tobacco tar build up.

I used to wake up every morning with sinus and a ridiculous headache, making cigars a waste anytime before noon, until I got myself an air purifier in the bedroom. Get the most expensive you can or better still, can't afford. It will be damn bloody worth it.

From a different angle, I sometimes go through phases where I consistently taste very similar flavors in different cigars. Though I don't normally

smoke that often to begin with, a bit of a layoff usually helps.

Ahh... that's the effect of exposure to too much gunpowder! ;)

Nevertheless, if you can't taste Habanos, try some Habaneros... if they taste bland then you should worry!

Jimmy, I'm with Ken, I dont see this problem ever getting better

so lets get right to the point and not waste anymore time or good cigars -

how much do you want for your collection?

Jimmy if your sense of smell is out too, you really need to see a doctor. And stop smoking cigars for awhile.

I went through some allergy issues which led to a nasty infection which led to nerve damage some years ago. I wouldn't mess around with it.

I would also recommend what's called a Neti pot for rinsing out the nasal passages with lukewarm salt water. Works wonders for allergy sufferers like myself.

See a doctor, bro. Seriously.

My seasonal allergies are killing me this year. You should see a doctor. I have found a combination of allergy meds really helps for me. I take a combo of Zirtec, Singulair, and a steroid spray during the high points of allergy season (yeah, my allergies are wicked). I've also found that saline spray really helps.

Jimmy--

Eat some soil. That'll clear things up . . . . :D
