PigFish Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 Not really. I don’t know what has made me so irreverent lately but it just seems to be in the blood this week. It must be all those lessons teaching the grandkids how to shoot. On a more sober note these just came in from Czar House. Thanks to our missing First Lady for scooping these for me and the team for getting them out. I don’t know about you, but these look mighty meaty to me! Cheers… -Piggy

smll2 Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 Pig, How do those Dips rate for you relative to other CC's? Which cigar in the line would you recommend for a newbie? They look sweet! Tom
PigFish Posted April 8, 2009 Author Posted April 8, 2009 Lise must love you Piggy She must just has a thing for the curmudgeonly type, aye mate? But after all I dubbed her the site's First Lady! Thanks for the cigars! -Piggy
PigFish Posted April 8, 2009 Author Posted April 8, 2009 Pig,How do those Dips rate for you relative to other CC's? Which cigar in the line would you recommend for a newbie? They look sweet! Tom I really like Diplomatico cigars. They are commonly referred to as kindred spirits to the Montecristo's line and there is some merit to that. But simply stating that they are "like" or a "low line" Montecristo does not give them glory in their own right, and rightfully deserve. Diplomaticos are a dying breed as they are just more cigars in the firing line sights of an H SA bean counter somewhere, but that is not my point. If I were pressed into making comparisons about Diplo cigars I would say that they are more of a harmonious marriage between the best Montecristo and Juan Lopez line. My palate can certainly not be a proxy for your own however. Get Rob or the gang on the phone and order up some number 4's (perhaps as a part of a singles order) and see what you have been missing. When someone asks you about a Diplomatico just say Piggy sent me! Cheers, -Piggy
hoyopr Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 Had a very enjoyable Dip #3 this afternoon, and took the time to stock up when they were available. I've not tried the #4 but have enjoyed the #2 on many occations just never bought a box yet. Piggy I'm with you that these really do stand on their own two legs.
El Presidente Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 If I were pressed into making comparisons about Diplo cigars I would say that they are more of a harmonious marriage between the best Montecristo and Juan Lopez line. Perhaps the best flavour descripition of Diplomatico I have heard.
smll2 Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 Piggy, Rob owes you a referral. The #4's will be a part of my next venture based upon your intellectual review. Easter Onk's to you Sir!! P.S. Is it oink or onk? I think oink. Not part of my every day vehicular I suspect.

I can still taste them from my birthday 5 years ago, how is that for a Finish?

Is it oink or onk? I think oink. Not part of my every day vehicular I suspect. Rob owes me one referral!!! -LOL There are so many ways I could retort to that I am confused over it! I have said for years that I am Robs #1 shill. Nowadays I have a lot of competition so I doubt that I am deserving of that tile. Rob, Lisa and the crew are in fact the world's best online tobacconists. I wish I lived down the street from the man because I would be happy walking to his place to work with him. He and his crew live and enjoy cigars, life and their customers, what is more amazing about it is that they are honest and ethical about it. If you ever have the chance to meet Rob and Lisa you will know exactly what I am talking about. He is more than a guy that sells me cigars; I am blessed with his friendship. My friend Rob does not owe me a thing but I want to thank you for the thought. Oh, the box code is FJN JUL 05.
