All of them! Honestly. Guinness goes with everything, cigars, whiskey, breakfast..

If you were to pin me down to one, I would say Partagas 898V.

The spicy earthiness is a good counterpoint to a creamy smooth pint.

While I like Guinness well enough and I like a good alf 'n alf but I guess I just dont drink it or any beer for that matter enough any more to like smoking cigars with it. I find that the Guinness and beer/ale in general overpowers the cigar for me.

This doesnt mean I wont have a few on occasion. But my taste runs more towards whiskey and vino.

Have successfully paired a Monte Petit Edmundo with Guiness, but agree with Ryan, pretty much any smoke is a match.

I recommend some extensive research... :o

The Irish are, in fact, totally unbiased! Here's some pics of Pauline's car (she grew up in Dublin.) Note the license plate and the little add-on under the hood.

GUINNESS! It's a way of life!

I think that there are certain cigars that are better pairings with Guinness, they are the ones that have mocha, caramel, espresso, and earthy flavors. For me this would include Cohiba, Montecristo, Vegas Robaina, Por Larranaga, and Bolivar.

I also think there are other cigars that are generally too mild, or have too much of a "spice" or "fruit" type flavor, to pair ideally with Guinness. For me those would include Hoyos, Trinidad, Diplomaticos, Ramon Allones, Quai D'Orsay, and Punch. I would rather pair these with an ale.

To each their own...
