I was looking at the pics of the forum member humidors and was astonished by the gargantuan plethora of fine cigars that have been assembled. I'm not sure I should even be here after seeing those pictures. For me it's like a kid in a candy store. On that note, how important is it to seperate your bundles to prevent cigar marriage? I noticed some where using zip lock bags to do the separating. Do you seal them or leave them unzipped to ensure proper humidification? Well it's off to go look at my 3 humidor collection and laugh.

Let me assure you.....almost everyone starts with a single humidor (and about three times more cigars than it holds). Regarding zip-locks, I only keep my singles in them, mainly for protection. I punch 2 x 5mm holes in each end of a pocket zip-lock (50mm wide x 250mm long - Mark sells them) and use a permanent marker to write the cigar's details on the outside of the zip-lock.

Hopefully one fridge to age, and one to smoke. I now like to keep all of my cigars in their boxes. There is something about cracking that box and smelling the aroma, pulling out a stick and lighting her up. Singles stay in a desktop (or two). Enjoy!

I was the same a few years ago (actually less than what you have now) but over time having read the forum, magazines, talked to shop owners, other smokers, gradually you start to get more. Now I have a small fridge half full and it has been a great experience not to rush it - enjoy the journey. I think if I threw thousands of dollars at the hobby at the one time I would appreciate each stick a little less because of that. Its likely that every one of us without conscious effort chooses their own pace with this hobby. No stress. Enjoy

I would love to see some of the big collectors stash. It would put anything here to shame I am thinking. Not to deiinish anyone's collection. That would be hard to do. LOL Nino? LOL
