Ellery Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 Hi Jimmy, nice review. I've only had one of these but it was awful. Maybe I should re-visit. Yeah I feel the same way. Got 2 of these from a sampler last yr. I smoked the first one, and didn't find to impressive. Not to say that it was awful, but for an EL, I was expecting more. I have the other laying down, going to wait till warm weather (prob around May) to give it another shot.
dicko Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 had one from a czar sampler a few months back. really enjoyed it! the pyramid shape doesn't do it for me but very complex flavours (did a few scribbles at the time) - baked bread, grass/hay, caramel, white pepper and more. Jimmy I might get a bottle of dessert wine . I am also not huge on wines with cigars (except sparkling). thanks
cgarner Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 I agree with Jimmy about this Cigar. It was one of my favorite. I bought 2 10ers from Czar. I have 4 out of the first box. 3 blew me away and 1 was mediocre. All in all I love this cigar and I will be buying more.
kaleehb Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 Smoked one today...didn't enjoy it as much as I had hoped to. Very beautiful looking in its presentation however the complexity just wasn't there. I have nine more but probably won't touch them for at least another year.
Guest rob Posted March 13, 2010 Posted March 13, 2010 Ive sampled these from my stash every couple of months - but as good as these look, I think they are average at best... and bear in mind I am not a tough judge.
Jimmy2 Posted March 13, 2010 Author Posted March 13, 2010 I have only smoked one my guess was that it was blended perfect and thats why it performed the way it did for me and others here have the same story to tell.Again these are hand made products and will not be perfect everytime and again if not blended right No Friggin age will do it justice (1 year to me is right nap time to judge if coming along) .
Ken Gargett Posted March 13, 2010 Posted March 13, 2010 I am yet to try this one and I've noticed alot of you have said that its' the only cuaba cigar that you guys like but I think the Cuaba Salomones is amazing. It provides everything a cigar can provide the smoothness, the creaminess, the look and feel of it. Great review Jimmy and I can't wait to try it soon. Cheers, Elie. half your luck with these. i have tried them from rob, from stores in cuba, from places in europe - i really wanted to like these - but i have never had one that i didn't think was diabolically bad. for me, this LE is the only saving grace for cuaba. the rest, i would not give two cents for. the only good thing cuaba ever did, bar the LE, was that a neighbour of mine stole some cigars from me a while back, including a cuaba diadema. it made him violently ill.
