Ken Gargett Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 found this at a winery in tassie recently. huge thing. nothing to do with cigars but wondering if anyone wanted to hazard a guess as to what it is.
El Presidente Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 ...Ken....for the love of God....just use the bathroom
The Wise Old owl Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 Probably a smelting pot for some sort of foundry. If not that, then perhaps a codguard for Shreck...
Ken Gargett Posted December 15, 2008 Author Posted December 15, 2008 actually, a whale blubber boiling pot, apparently.
Don Candido Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 How does the whale blubber effect the wine they make?
Jimmy2 Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 Ken you can piss in it off your porch instead of killing the plants and wildlife around your house.
stargazer14 Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 I used a pot that large when I made cheese 10,000 ft. up in the swiss alps - tho the kettle was made of copper and probably much lighter....
Tampa1257 Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 To catch the grape drippings after the virgins stomped the grapes. This pot was set under the virgins feet and then as it was filled it was tipped over into a vat.
