CIGARHead Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 What are you saying, Rob?....the whole LGC marca is in jeopardy?
Tampa1257 Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 I would hate to see so many thin ring gauged cigars be lost.

Guest rob Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 I would hate to see so many thin ring gauged cigars be lost. Totally agree with T here. It would be a tragedy.
Alberto_Magnus Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 Totally agree with T here. It would be a tragedy. As the great Italian cigar expert Andrea Molinari said "After the big burst of passions everything must sadly conform to trends". This trend of big gauges is by now widespread worldwide, and so far so good, but the real tragedy is the loss of unique pieces of art as the Partagàs Serie Du Connoisseur 1, 2 and 3, which have disappeared from Italy or the even bigger case of LGC Medaille d'Or, whose production has been stopped altogether.
bassman Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 I'm a big fan of the MdeO#2. A great morning smoke. Sad to say that a box of 2001 Sabrosos has completely underwhelmed me.
laficion Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 Hi PREZ, This is what we have already lost since 1972 in the LGC Marca. Here is a view of a cat. from 1971, gifted to me by Robert Sutter, Importers at the time in the Benelux states. They were all beautiful smokes, anyway, those days are gone. I just hope they don't get rid of the little there is left
Wiley Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 Thanks an ass load Rob. It's so depressing, and hard not to think of the Cuban cigar industry as a shadow of what it was. And damn it all I missed it!

And damn it all I missed it! Look at that Flechas how classy it looks. With the typical LGC mellow taste that doble figurado must have been a treat.
Mr. Japan Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 But H&F is just launching the Gloriosos so there is someone tryingto keep up. YEAH YEAH YEAH
Fia Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 Would be sad to see the Boli CE go by the wayside!
