So I´m a little confused... Is thanksgiving celebrated at this weekend or was it the prevoius one??

Thanksgiving always happens on a Thursday. So today (here) was Thanksgiving. It is a holiday for most everyone.

The day after Thanksgiving is called Black Friday. It is the biggest shopping day of the year in the US. Lots of sales.

Thursday through Sunday is referred to as Thanksgiving weekend.
