GP012 Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 Looks to be CCUT, which is a transitional code from March of 1999.
mkz Posted November 11, 2008 Author Posted November 11, 2008 » Looks to be CCUT, which is a transitional code from March of 1999. Thanks! I actually thought it said "C6UT"... Any idea on the factory code?
Colt45 Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 » Any idea on the factory code? It looks like ECA, which I believe translates to the H. Upmann factory
shrink Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 » Thanks! I actually thought it said "C6UT"... Yes, it is quite clearly "C6UT". Taken literally, this corresponds to no known boxdate, including 1999. IMO, someone put the numeral "6" in place of a "C", either intentionally (lacking another C) or inadvertantly. Best bet the date is March 1999.
Ryan Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 It does look like a "6" has been substituted for a "C". I don't think it's a big deal, I have seen an upside-down "3" used as the "E" in "ECA" before.
mkz Posted November 12, 2008 Author Posted November 12, 2008 Thank you all for the answers! Always nice to be in helpful company. :-) All i have to worry about now is the possible impotence I will suffer after smoking this box... :-D
mkz Posted November 15, 2008 Author Posted November 15, 2008 Need help with this smudgy boxcode. Is it a 99:er? Thanks in advance! Sorry for the poor quality in the picture (old camera)...
