cadillacdoc Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 My name is Don. I'm a 50 year old practicing physician in a small town in east Kentucky. I've enjoyed cigars since I was 17 and have met some of my best friends through cigars and continually introduce newbies to the pleasures of cigars. I'm a confessed lurker on several cigar websites with few posts to my credit. I like the no nonsense approach and sticking to cigar relatedness of FOH. This may squeeze a few posts or reviews out of me. Rob, keep up the good work.
Professor Twain Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 Glad to meet a Doc who is not afraid of a little cigar smoke. Welcome to the Board.
CDNJ Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 Welcome Doc. I am brand new myself, but seems like it is a great crowd here.
tacmedic Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 » Welcome to FOH, Don!...where in Kentucky do you live?...I love visiting Kentucky, betting on the horses, touring the distilleries and just driving through the horse farm areas...beautiful state.
wp2 Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 Hello & welcome Don, lots of great folks here at FOH!

cadillacdoc Posted December 30, 2007 Author Posted December 30, 2007 East Kentucky? where do you live?
Claudius Posted December 30, 2007 Posted December 30, 2007 » East Kentucky? where do you live? Welcome from Europe :-) I had some Woodford Reserve Bourbon yesterday. Pretty nice for the price!
cadillacdoc Posted December 30, 2007 Author Posted December 30, 2007 Woodford Reserve Bourbon Try some Pappy Van Winkle 15, 20 or 23 year old. It may be the best bourbon Kentucky has to offer.
atomross13 Posted December 30, 2007 Posted December 30, 2007 » East Kentucky? where do you live? I live in Versailles now but grew up between Frenchburg and West Liberty, in a wide spot in the road called Korea. Been to Prestonsville several times in my life.

cadillacdoc Posted December 30, 2007 Author Posted December 30, 2007 Have you had any of the Four Roses Single Barrel - 100 proof? No I haven't. Do like the Bookers, Bakers, Basil Hayden, Knob Creek family really well , and am partial to Old Grandad 114 (it needs just a splash of water to tone it down). I rarely meet a bourbon I don't like, as a matter of fact I rarely meet a libation I don't like, hiccup!
El Presidente Posted December 30, 2007 Posted December 30, 2007 Welcome Don! I will try my best and keep this board on an even keel
atomross13 Posted December 30, 2007 Posted December 30, 2007 Buffalo Trace is also a good cheep Bourbon to try.
