Hey Prez,

I was wondering if there is a breakdown of the 6-point scale used in your reviews or if it is just more of a "gut feeling" sort a thing. Just curious. Thanks.

It's very scientific. Here you go, mate...

1) a Vampire's tea bag

2) a Tosser

3) as Common as dog ****

4)a Beaut

5) a Humdinger!

6) a Cracker!

Many of us that write reviews have found the 100 point rating too vague and too subjective to determine what a 85 or a 89 or a 92 rating was. So a 6 point rating was taken which was thought to present a tool that rated cigars in a method that everyone could easily understand and determine if a cigar was worth smoking. I believe that Van55 initially suggested this type of rating scale.

6 smoke rings = a classic

5 smoke rings = an excellent cigar in all respects or a classic to be

4 smoke rings = a very good cigar

3 smoke rings = an average cigar

2 smoke rings = a flawed cigar

1 smoke rings = practically unfit to be smoked.
