Ben Posted December 7, 2007 Posted December 7, 2007 I honestly can't choose my fave hotel, I've stayed in so many they all blend together in memory.
jasonM Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 My two choices would be the Four Seasons in Hong Kong. Service is absolutely outstanding. Mercer Hotel in NYC. Made famous by being the location where The Gladiator threw his hissy fit. Aside from that, great location, secluded in the middle of SoHo.
nugget Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 Without a doubt Exedra Rome. It's part of the Boscolo Luxury Hotel Chain. We stayed there only 3-4 months after it's completion. There are two sections to the Hotel; the first being the new and the second including exposed beams on the ceiling of which are hundreds of years old. WOW!
Tel RNB Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 » I am certainly not as well traveled as other visitors here, but I do love » what used to be the Hyatt, now the Marriott at Hilton Head. The outdoor » pool and cabana ovelooking the finest beach in South Carolina is a great » cigar and umbrella drink setting. Again, another local favorite is the » Grove Park Inn in Asheville, NC. A fine and outstanding historic inn with » a fire place big enough for you and all you friends to stand in, with a » setting room (cigar friendly) and bar and a porch wide enough for » wheelchair races overlooking the beautiful NC mountains. The Spa and other » amenities will surely win you over, google it if you have the chance! Sorry, but the finest beach in SC is Pawleys Island.;-)
The Wise Old owl Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 » Sorry, but the finest beach in SC is Pawleys Island.;-) I may need to investigate this myself, so any good places to stay when I visit?
strayvector Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 My favorite: Hilton Sorrento Palace in Sorrento, Italy - incredible views, large clean rooms, and impeccable service.
avid toker Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 Burj al Arab in Dubai and the Shangri-La Hotel in Dubai...concierge level. I've stayed at both and not only were the rooms very comfortable and clean, the service is 1st class.
sansei Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 InterContinental Hotel Thalasso in Bora Bora. We stayed there for our honeymoon last year. Just Amazing! This is a view from the bed looking out to the turquoise colored water.
zuma Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 Sheraton Moana Surfrider in Honolulu... my family's favourite holiday spot. But we must stay in the second floor of the old wing directly overlooking the old banyan tree and the ocean (third floor in US nomenclature)... there we can see the sunset through the tree, and see and hear the late arvo hula ... minimum stay 10 days, any less is a heart break for everyone... great service always...
