El Presidente Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 My suggestion would be to cancel the trip and work the holidays
Colt45 Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 If at all possible, get tickets to see the Patriots pummel the giants on the 29th. Otherwise, go for the hockey.

The only problem with that is...the herf at HD is the same day! Regardless, I'd rather see a Rangers game. I am a Cowboys fan through and through. :-D
shrink Posted November 23, 2007 Posted November 23, 2007 » My suggestion would be to cancel the trip and work the holidays » My suggestion would be to emigrate to California and work for me.
GP012 Posted November 23, 2007 Posted November 23, 2007 Rangers game, no doubt! MSG is THE sporting venue to see in NY (or even the US). Nothing else comes close. There's a home game Sunday (Dec 30th) 7pm v Montreal that still has tix available. They also play 12/26 7pm v Carolina, and I could get you good seats for that game if you'd like!

Greg...don't you live in MA? Wouldn't that make you a Bruins fan?
GP012 Posted November 23, 2007 Posted November 23, 2007 » Greg...don't you live in MA? Wouldn't that make you a Bruins fan? Hell no! There's a reason they go by the "Boo-ins" up here, Hub of hockey my ass. I'm a Boston transplant, been here for four years. Born and raised in NY and I have vivid memories of 1994 even as a kid. You won't see any stinkin black and gold sweaters in my closet. All red white and blue with the exception of an authentic bleu, blanc et rouge Roy, which still fits the color scheme, LOL.

Red1922 Posted November 23, 2007 Posted November 23, 2007 Lisa: As a native New Yorker, New York Rangers, Islanders, and New Jersey Devil tickets are extremely difficult to come buy. Jets and Giants tickets are even harder. Your best bet is to go to www.stubhub.com and look for tickets for a particular day or event. The prices are above face value, but are genuine. Again..this is from a native NY'er and someone who's a hardcore NY Rangers fan. As far as the NY football teams go...I'm a Dallas Cowboys fan!:-P
jsd Posted November 23, 2007 Posted November 23, 2007 I would try to see a Jets game. They are the pride of the NFL.
Jimmy2 Posted November 23, 2007 Posted November 23, 2007 Lisa i can most likely get you two Jets tickets they are playing the Kansas City Chiefs on Dec 30. And of course they will be free of charge.
anacostiakat Posted November 23, 2007 Posted November 23, 2007 » My suggestion would be to cancel the trip and work the holidays » You might be providing the blood and guts . . .
