Looking for some advice...

I am interested in either the the aristocrat end table or the mini cabinet. Being that these are relatively small units do any of you feel that the "set and forget" electronic system is necessary or am i just as well with the beads? For those of you who have the electronic system what are your thoughts?

Go Bigger than the End Table or the Mini. You will be shooting yourself in the foot a year from now when you are out of room. Also, go with the Temp and rH controlled unit. I received my Aristocrat Plus 2 weeks ago and everytime I have opened it up it has been reading 68deg/65rH which was preset from Bob. Things is amazing and probably the best purchase of my life.

Not to buy the very biggest that you could possibly buy is an error on your part. Buy the biggest that you can. You will fill it up!

I would recommend the set and forget system.

Listen to Tampa....get one as big as you can afford. BTW Set & Forget is only humidification..it is not the Peltier cooler system.

Smokum, is the temp control really necessary if I keep my place at a relatively constant 70 deg F?

70 is not "ideal" for CC's by consensus...I guess it depends on how many cigars you keep at one time. Its not totally necessary. Its great if you can buck up for the extra $$ though...I keep mine 63F and 64 Rh

How come no one is saying, "listen to KB24?" I said the same thing Tampa said. I get no respect around here. :crying:

KB I dont know where I would be without you man, thanks a million for the great advice. Some of the others had similar views but you definitely voiced your opinion in a way that just made sense to me. Feel better?:-)

I would recommend you take KB24's advice and get a much bigger cabinet right away rather than a small one now and a big one next year and having to sell the small one at a loss (the money you'd lose doing it the way you initially considered could then be used to buy cigars). I realize I'm the fifth or sixth person to say this (and not the first like KB24)... I guess I just like to repeat what KB24 says, like Tampa :-)

Just because Tampa has been telling us this a long time...did I listen ? I thought I did..but here I am with a box double and then some bigger than I had..its full and I had to retrofit a cooler into my OLD box to hold.ALMOST everything !! Go big.

The endtable unit I have is a beautiful piece of work. But holding something like 35 or more boxes it simply is too small.

Makes a nice endtable unit in the living room to smoke out of though. :ok:

My M-Plus is so doggone full that it takes some real effort fitting all of my boxes/cabs in there. I opted for an extra pull-out drawer too and recommend that as it is not only wonderful to look at, but I swear the smokes from the drawers are extra special!

I'm ready for a second one and strongly agree with all who say--get it bigger now. My "set and forget" is not temp controlled but my air-conditioned house keeps it pretty cool in the summer anyway. It stays at 67%--where I keep 'em.

Thanks to all of you for your input. Looks like I will be purchasing a Plus size unit without the temp control soon. Ill be sure to post once I get it. KB I absolutely love your unit, great picks from your thread. I cant wait. for those of you who have these units I would love to see pics of your setup if you have then available.

Wow Tampa!! That is magnificent! I am going to just have to ask since its full...

Care to sell it to me and upgrade to a bigger unit?:-D ?

now that i am awaiting delivery on my 2nd aristocrat in 1 year I would have to agree with everyone here.

Save your $$$.. Dont buy any smokes for as long as it takes you to afford one of the big ones.. The cab will last forever, and if it takes a year to save for it, it will lats and be worth it..

I love when people argue over prices for their humidors.. How much money do you have invested in whats INSIDE the cabinet? Shouldnt the investment on the cabinet itself be relative?
