Friends, i'm leaving for Argentina October 25th for 10 days. While most of my time will be in Patagonia, I do have 24 hours in BA to start the trip, which means a visit to the LCDH- only a short walk from my hotel. Any suggestions as to 07 singles to try. I've already been impressed with 07 SLR DCs & BPCs and am thinking of trying an 07 Lusi & BBF. Any other suggestions? I prefer stronger cigars & never liked Cuaba, Sancho or JL.

Steve, it sounds like a great trip.

Since the '07 SLR DC's are so good, how about trying the Series A?

Rob was really keen on the '07 Upmann Sir Winnies.

'07 RASCC have been great. RASS should be good, too.

And I'd like to know how the '07 Monte #2 compare to the '06's.

Be safe, and have a good time.

All good choices, though I already have the 07 RASCC. Keep them coming!

Most of the 07 I have tried have been very good with the SLR DC being the best of the bunch. Cohiba Robusto, BCE, BRC, PLPC and Romeo Shorts have been good as well.

Be safe..wish I were going there to fish!

Got a box of POS MAR 07 BBF's and they are fantastic. Just got them 2 weeks ago and had to fire one up. Typical bolivar non spicy ass kicker with great construction and depth. I think you will enjoy them, very similar to Rob's recent review. Enjoy!

That's almost exactly what I was thinking....other than the Sir Winston. I'll have to get some on order and give them a shot again......I wasn't to happy with my 05 box

Got the 07 SLR DCs. (Thank you, Lisa). I'll be looking to try the others. I've also heard early 07 Lusis are stronger than previous years. We,ll have to see what they have in BA.

Hi Bass....BA is one of my favorite cities in the world! I know you only have 24 hours, and probably have a packed itinerary, but a couple non-cigar suggestions: For lunch or dinner, book at the Cabana Las Lillas, arguably the best parrilla in BA (they raise all of their own beef on their vast estancias)...the nicest location is in the Puerto Madero, the old docks section of BA http://www.laslilas.com/restaurant.php?sec...aurant=reservas

If you want to see real portenos & portenas dance tango, visit the Confiteria Ideal after dinner http://www.confiteriaideal.com/ This is where real people go to dance, both locals & visitors. It's such a wonderful experience to see an 80 year old man dance with a 20 year old woman, or vice verse, both reveling in the dance, with no hint of the prurient...I'd avoid any of the tango shows...expensive, and too glitzy.

Enjoy, and have a great trip!
