An Unusual Humidor

Whatever does it for the cigars is good.

You should consider however laying a few slabs of Spanish Cedar in the unit to help impart extra flavor if you are planning to do any aging.

May I even suggest that you at least chop up some empty boxes and lay them around.

Never the less a great unit and one which should last.

Well done;-)

Thats preetty cool there Shrink!

Nugget...The cedar Cabinets and SLB's are in essence, doing exactly what slabs of cedar would do. In my opinion, covering the walls of the humidor in cedar would only enhance the "aroma" of the cedar and not really help much w/ the cigars because it looks like 98% of them are already in a cabinet, slb or box. I see where you are coming from though..I like to have that slap in the face cedar smell when I open the humidor.

Shrink, thanks for posting these, outstanding setup here. And you told me that you keep it right at 65-65 with ease?

Your friend ought to go into a sideline with these, they would have to be a lot less expensive than the wood versions (although this might not look so nice in the living room).

Bill... yes, I aim for 65F/63%. No problem. I agree that this would look a little "Art Nouveau" in the living room, but fortunately it lives in my "smoking lounge" (the basement LOL!). I also have a deep freezer there that I use for 'quarantine' of new boxes or any that might have beetles. So far I have been lucky in this respect.

Holy crap Shrink , your a different bunch over here in cigar land.

I don't think this would go down too well over in Swiss watch land where everything is polite conversation and talk of accuracy.

I may have to rethink my participation in this forum.

Ok I thought about it, what else you got.:-D
