FuglyOne Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 Finally given up on trying to cope with the heat and cigar storage. Any recommendations of available end table or cabinet hum''s in the Phoenix area - new or used? Prefer to see in person, not order online.

I don't know anything you can see in person, but Bob at Aristocrat Humidors has a great selection [link]http://www.aristocrathumidors.com/[/link] So does Ron at Cigar Solutions [link]http://www.cigarsolutions.com/AvalloHumidors.html[/link]
BigSlick Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 Hey Fugly! I would contact Ron at above post. Avallo has some very nice and affordable humidors. TD
tandblov Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 You can't go wrong with Bob Staebell. I have an aristocrat and love it.
TR Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 » You can't go wrong with Bob Staebell. I have an aristocrat and love it. You can stop by my office (here in Phoenix) and see a Aristocrat in person....you won't be disappointed......
anacostiakat Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 I have an Aristocrat endtable unit from Bob and an Avallo DDD Chilled unit from Ron and Matt. You can take a quick lock [link=http://good-times.webshots.com/album/554435748yWasYM]here![/link]
joeypots Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 I have an Aristocrat Plus. This is a very good unit and is well worth the money I spent. Think about this. How much are 20 boxes of cigars worth? For something like the price of 4 or five boxes, you can get a top quality unit. And, if you are like most of us on the boards, you will fill it! Don't cheap out on a cabinet humidor, it is not worth it.
smokum Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 Kind of OT but has anyone converted an existing humi to a cooled unit with the Peltier units ? Any recommendations on where to buy a Peltier ? I have an uncooled old Viking end table that I want to retrofit for aging.
Tone_NY Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 Both of those gentlemen make great products. Whomever you chose, be prepared to wait a while as their production schedules are long. Good luck and lets us know what you end up with.

CIGARHead Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 » Any one have any experience with Vigilant? They are top quality but $$$$$$

I did this, but like previously stated the is a lot of Condensation issues. You need to put in a good amount on installation and you humidor needs to seal well. I ended up having to scarch the idea after sinking in too much money in it.
