Colt45 Posted July 31, 2007 Posted July 31, 2007 Great stuff Trevor. I've been one of the members who has voiced a somewhat disgruntled opinion over the seemingly increasing trend of large gauge releases - but I have to admit, if anyone gets hold of the Bolivar DC, I'd love to hear a review.....

Hell, I would love to get my hot little hands on some of those Boli Double Coronas! Any chance Rob can get some? :-D Also, I can't wait until the H. Upmann travel humidors come out. I liked the looks of the Montecristo humidors a lot, but I think I'd like an Upmann one even more.
Gryphon Posted July 31, 2007 Posted July 31, 2007 Thanks again Trevor. Your work and website are brilliant.
Matthew Posted July 31, 2007 Posted July 31, 2007 Nothing better than a concise source of information. Thank you, Trevor!

Guibou Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 » Mexico - Brand? - El Conde 109 » The info released by Habanos states Edmundo Dantes as the brand... We can assume it is a Montecristo...

There was a lot of discussion when this info was released....but with no real conclusion. The Montecristo would be the best bet, except the big 5 Global brands are supposed to be excluded from the Regional Releases....certainly none to date. But as said before, its Cuba we're talking about. And one would assume that they are not going to rename Montecristo?.. Other suggestions were: ------New Brand (unlikely). ------Stuff-up (very likely).

Well............finally The RE in question is a Montercristo with a market name "Edmundo Dantes". Its factory name is "El Conde 109", size 50 x 184, thus falling into a double robusto size group. So once again, Cuba has changed the rules.....the 5 main global brands can have Regional Releases.....:-D

The bottom silver and red RE band was as it usually is, with "Exclusivo Mexico".
kjellfrick Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 Thanks for the info, Trevor! I'm hoping for a box of these, but they may bust my CC to plasma...:-|
