I wonder Cigar dealers say that We manually check cigars before shipping though, What do really they do ?

I had seen a pic that The owner of the XXX (A Swiss Vendor) checks the smell of a torpedo cigar though , Is it general?

Edited: Naming other Vendors is not allowed, describing in general terms in public is.

I'll put my 2 cents worth in and then look forward to El Presidente and TFL chime in.

Checking and inspecting individual boxes departing to clients is a polite method of Trusted and honorable Vendors which checks for the following:

Wrapper, sheen, texture, brittle or moist

Construction, Under or over filled, draw

Mold, mildew, improper storage signs

Infestation, Bottom line, they are checking to make sure your cigars are perfect,

OK... so, would it be reasonable to expect (from a reputable vendor) that, if you purchase a box of cigars, it would have been opened before shipping and show signs of the checking-out process?
