habanohal Posted July 17, 2007 Posted July 17, 2007 I recieved mine. They do look good though I have some ELs that are darker. I hope these wont be outragious in price.I didnt think they were small cigars. Hopefully the price will be in line with other regular production cigars
Moglman Posted July 17, 2007 Posted July 17, 2007 Received mine too and they look and smell great. Interesting for sure. Not overly dark, interesting texture. I'll start trying them in a few days or a week. I'd love to think the price will drop after the initial hype has worn off but people bought the Behike. Hell, maybe that really was worth it :-|

But then again, if you are wealthy $100k here and there is like nothing
Ken Gargett Posted July 17, 2007 Posted July 17, 2007 They do look good though I have some ELs that are darker. this might not be what you intended but to me it reads that dark equates to quality. i like some of my darker smokes but i don't always immediately think that if not a dark wrapper, then it cannot be topnotch. any thoughts?
habanohal Posted July 18, 2007 Author Posted July 18, 2007 I use to order and ask Lisa for darker wrappers. I have changed now. I ffound the flavor of lighter wrappers more tasty for some reaon. If it is like Dominican cigars, The darker the Wrapper, the lighter the cigar( in most cases)

I don't look for depth of shade as I refer to maduro more as the leaf selection, ripening and fermentation process over the final color. I find that the unique sweeter taste and higher oil content of maduro wrappers is what makes these interesting in a fully cuban grown product.

Dark wrappers dont mean a better cigar. It really depends on the cigar.
