bassman
I'd also go for the PLs. Not too bad- only 2 gauge more than a Robusto. As for the Bolis, I'll stick with the Gold Medals.
1f1fan
Thanks for the info Rob. Great insight on the industry behind the puros we love so much. I always have room in the humidor for PL's ;-)
Colt45
» If you invest your money in a RR you want your money back + profit back as » quickly as possible. » As much as I'd like to believe the Havana Cigar stands on a foundation of history and tradition, and is more than just a commodity, the above pretty much sums it all up. I'm not naive, and understand that business is business, but looking at this thread, and the upcoming Cohiba Maduro and it's pricing, shows, to me at least, that Habanos' wish to have Cuban cigars as luxury items is now a reality.... Gryphon
Although the sizes would not be my first choice, if the blend is right, I am in for a box of each!!!
Claudius
» PCC has been approved the following as Regional Releases for 2008. Now keep » in mind these are a year away » » Por Larrañaga Belicosos Extra 52 * 140 mm Campanas » SLB 25's » » Bolivar Shorts 52 * 110 mm Petit Edmundo SLB 25's » » I have to fill in an order sheet over the next couple of days so give me » an inkling of a "punters" thoughts/impressions. Por Larrañaga being one of the milder brands, I really would have preferred a thinner ring gauge cigar; looking at the fantastic Por Larrañaga Lonsdales Exclusivo Alemania (which I bought 5 boxes of) only confirms (at least to me) that this brand is better served by thinner ring gauges. That being said, obviously I'll get a box or two of them anyway (be it only for the purpose of collecting them), but the combination of ring gauge and marca isnt what I'd choose to make if asked to. Por Larrañaga should be made in lonsdales, laguitos and coronas IMHO. Bolivar is a marca I can live with in a larger ring gauge, especially since the excellent Bolivar Sublimes hit France last year. The petit edmundo is a joke of a vitola, but honestly the Monte Petit Edmundos are not a bad cigar. I'm curious to see what the Bolivar petit edmundos will taste like (is it going to be a good surprise like the Montecristo PE?). I'll buy 2 boxes of these; maybe 3 or 4 if the price is similar to that of the Montecristo PE.

Put me down for one of each...possibly 2 of the PL's...it's very interesting how this marca, nearly put out to pasture, is now seemingly "hot"... Van55
I don't like the Boli size at all. I'd definitely be interested in a PL Belicoso, though.
