Good Humidor to buy

anyone have a suggestions of a good humidor to buy and hold lets say 400 - 500 cigars? I am tired of my crappy one that I am now ready to get a nice one. Also since I have 4 boxes of cigs comming from Rob I want to not mess them up!

There have been some very informative posts, and pictures as well, of some very

nice cabinet humidors of various sizes. The two that many members seem to think

worthy are the Aristocrat and the Avallo.

What is your price range for a humi?

Your best bet is to set up a "coolerdor". Cheap & easy.

Cigar storage can many different things. Some say that if the temperature and humidity are correct then all is well. Others insist that their babies be kept in the finest woods with easthic appeal. I have a small cooler that I use for short trm storage and quarantien but house them in fine custom boxes of exotic woods long term. The question back to you is what kind are you?

Think I am both ;-)

My price range I think is going to be about 1.5-2K

Should I get Temp control as well as Humidity Control? I would think yes, but what the hell do I know :-|

If it gets very hot where you will keep your humidor, I'd say yes. There are a number

Do yourself a favor, take a ride over to Richardson and visit with Bob Staebell with Aristocrat Humidors. I can tell you from my own personal experience that his woodworking abilities can not be equaled anywhere in the USA for the price range that his Humidors are in. I wished and dreamed about owning one for over 5 years before I plunged in and had one custom made, and I still kick myself in the ass for not doing it sooner. I love my Aristocrat Humidor!

Probably need to take an updated photo of the inside as there is a lot more inside now!

Listen to Tampa. I can speak on the quality of Bob's work.

I should have listened to Tampa & bought bigger than I needed then.

Now I am looking at another one from Bob to hold the overflows.

Ditto....get one larger than you think you will be satisfied with...in fact...if you think you may have 30 boxes to store...get one that is capable of 60 or more.
