HI there I'm David from Dallas Texas. Finnally after trolling for a few months I joined up! First time I got "hooked" on cubans was in Argentina on a dove hunt. My friend opened up a fresh box of Montecristo No. 2 Edicion Limitada and that was it! My head was spinning after finishing that thing I thought it was full of Tequila or something!

Hope all is well fellas and hope to chat soon!

Another question - are you positive it is Montecristo? In 2003 I believe there was a

Hoyo de Monterrey EL piramide.

Yes sir I am positive. Unless they reboxed them, I am pretty sure it was sealed though but it was a few years ago, they are Montecristo No. 2

Well......The rule of thumb with EL releases is that they release sizes not usually found

in the line. So, as the Montecristo No.2 is a normal production cigar, they would not

release it as an EL, vs. the Cohiba piramide EL release - the pyramide is not a

regular production Cohiba. That and that the 2003 Montecristo EL was the "C", a

corona gorda, I think we have to come to the conclusion that your cigars are not

legitimate Habanos......

You will find your second wife to be more understanding. The unfortunate thing is that you will only be able to afford Guantanamera's

Welcome. This is a great place.

FYI, There was not a Cohiba Piramid EL in 2003. That piramid pictured has a 2003 band. Also, if that cigar is a Monte from 2003, I think it should have the year on the band.

By the way, once in a lifetime thing to do is go hunting down there. I was low man on the totem poll as far as killing dove and I killed 1350 doves in 3 days! :-P
