olotti
I just smoked one of these from a 5'er I have with an 05' date, not sure of the box code offhand. Of all the robustos this is the one brand I have the least amount of experience with so I'm just wondering what kind of tasting notes others of you may have of these. My example was just pure spice and a core of fine tobacco which is good since I love both and the spice reminded me of a tingly, pins and needles on the tongue spice as opposed to the white/black pepper. How much more developed will these get with more time seeing as this example is 2yrs old and was still quite bold but darn tasty.
Colt45
I'm not much help with this one - it's a cigar with which I've had mixed results.
habanablue
Had one of these on Friday night with ALB. The ones we had were superb. Initially strong tobacco with spicy notes that later moved to a creamy, caramel. sweet palate. A great cigar! Great draw and thick rich smoke! See I never picked up any of these caramel or sweet flavors maybe my palate is just not refined enough.
tacmedic
I posted a review of these a while back, and i'll have to look up the box code again, but cream, coffee, and caramel were/are the predominate flavors I pick up in these...some i've had from more aged boxes are more creamy than from some more recent productions.... Cam
It's nice, but i've had trouble with inconsistency.. and burn problems, sometimes 4 relights were required.. say no more?
Stalebread
Had one of these this morning (from late '05 ?). Mostly tobacco and some spice. Also had burn problems. Been thinking about this for my next box purchase but now I'm not so sure. Maybe the Hoyo short robusto instead. (apples and oranges, I know.)
