POS FEB 06

Construction: Firm but not hard, with a slightly loose wrap in the triple cap - this

was not a detriment.

Wrapper: Deep tan / light caramel in color. Smooth with a light sheen. Minimal

veining.

Draw: Perfect draw, with tons of smoke. An excellent burn all the way down.

Taste: Started out with a nice combination of white pepper and salty spice. Toasty

tobacco, supple leather, and a bit of nuttiness. Medium in body.

Nearly an inch in, the spice combination started to subside, and the subtle leather

became more predominant.

Halfway through, it became more earthy, with the tobacco and leather coming to

the fore. The spice components are a light backdrop. Now completely full in body.

This is how this one finished, though near the very end, I picked up very slight

hints of what I can only describe as vanilla pudding - not strong - but light fleeting

hints.

A great cigar, that made me want to ignite another. I can't help but rate it at 90.

Another nice review Colt. On a TPC kick are we? :-D

I have a box from Sept '05 that I have been enjoying the heck out of. My experience with them has been pretty similar to what you describe. Given the strength of the Boli PC's I've smoked, I was a little surprised that the BCJ seemed to land more in the medium bodied end of the spectrum(at least in my limited experience). Still a spectacular little smoke.

I have never tried one, shame on me. I love the Bolivar line so much that Rob should send me a few freebies to try on my next order.;-)

No doubt  Cold weather demands it. The smart thing to do would have been

to stock up last year, but....... anyway,

Celtic, if you enjoy Bolivar, I'd have to think you'd enjoy it - whenever you

decide to smoke it.

You guys are all correct - a great little cigar.

Melvin, I'm sure Rob would be happy to oblige - unless one is to believe the things

Ken has said - alligator arms and such.

Thanks for the review. The BCJ is one of my hands down fav's and I find them stronger than the PC's. A box of these for me never lasts more than a couple months, they are to good.

Great review Colt.

Without doubt a half corona favourite. I think it sometimes strugles to earn the kudos it deserves because competition in that vitola is the greatest of all:

Cohiba Siglo 1

Trinidad Reyes

Ramon Allones Small Club Corona

Bolivar Corona Junior

Montecristo No 4

Diplomatico No 5

San Cristobal Principe

Partagas Shorts

Thanks, Colt. I occasionally pull one out of my '04 box, and treat myself. Mine have the most distinct black cherry flavor I have ever enjoyed. When you add the twang, they taste like a tart cherry cola.

Nice review Colt. :ok: It's pretty much spot-on with what I've experienced. Got the exact same code, but haven't smoked one since last August. Time to revisit!

I love these cigars.

I have some 03's that are smoking very well now. Very harsh up until the past month or so, much more enjoyable now.

I've smoked some young RC's that were nice, good to see young CJ's are approachable also.

Your thought was very correct! I smoked it this past weekend and enjoyed it very, very much!! What can I say.... I just couldn't wait any longer! :-P

Mel how where those CJs? ;-)

Great, if not the best, little cigar, with some time on them.
