Ken Gargett Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 i had a couple of siglo vi's and they were both stunning. had a couple of years' age and were subtle and complex and full of flavour and just magic! other contenders?
shrink Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 Well, Ken... I had a few very good smokes in the past week. But none that I enjoyed more than a Diplomaticos No. 1. It ain't always the rare ones, or the expensive ones, is it?
Bubba -NJ Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 I had a Fuente Anejo #49 from '05 and a R y J Cazadores from ' 06 that were very different but excellent in their own way .
BigSlick Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 A gifted 01 Boli Churchill A/T I smoked in Atlantic City the day after Xmas. Won $450!! WOOHOO!!
12stones Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 I had an '05 RyJ Cazadore that was very tasty and an '06 RASS that was pretty good as well.
Shooter Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 Just a silly-little Romeo y Julieta Exhib. #4 believe it or not. It's from a stellar cab that produces absolutely dynamite flavors!! (DIC03 - REV NOV04 if memory serves me). Sometimes you just get luckier than others but this cigar never has let me down.
cls515 Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 » Cohiba Lancero Siglo VI for me can't be beat. However, I did pair Yellowtail Cab/Merlot with a Por Larranaga Petit Corona that was outstanding.
mr.harten Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 The standout for me was an early '05 PSP2. Very smooth with more honey and spice than I was expecting from a cigar so young.
habanohal Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 Por Larranga Lonsdales. Very good indeed. Much like the PC but can be described as a smoother taste down to the nub
Andyman Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 » The standout for me was an early '05 PSP2. Very smooth with more honey and » spice than I was expecting from a cigar so young. I totally agree.. I had one of these the same age about a month ago. I thought it was the best partagas I have had yet. Very smooth. I had a 98' 898nv for new years, and I liked the PSP2 better.
Van55 Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 It's doesn't help anyone considering purchases, but my best cigar was a salomone rolled at the factory by Hamlet and given to me by the guy who had it rolled as a gift. Amazing cigar while I smoked it for a couple of hours. I realized it was even more amazing after I finished and noticed the severe nicotine buzz as I put the finishing touches on Christmas dinner. Whew! As for regular production, a Montecristo Especial No. 1 was exceptional.
Colt45 Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 Unfortunately, it was either too cold, or too wet to smoke. This upcoming weekend looks pretty good, and I think I'll give my last Siglo VI a shot.

I smoked one of my diminishing SIG VIs and it was stunning, I agree. However the jewel for me was an 04 Esplendido. Marvelous! Hon mention to a Fundy and P898V. :-D
Ken Gargett Posted January 6, 2007 Author Posted January 6, 2007 "my last Siglo VI" you've done the impossible and made me feel sorry for you.
