anacostiakat Posted November 5, 2006 Posted November 5, 2006 » just read the report on the skins v the hapless cowgirls. now that is a » finish i would love to have seen. on to the bowl!! Well we did pull one out! I celebrated with a JUL05 Mag 46! Great Upmann flavor. Probabably the 3rd from the box. These will only get better. Oh and I must savor the Redskin wins! :-D
Ken Gargett Posted November 5, 2006 Author Posted November 5, 2006 sounded like it was never in doubt!
anacostiakat Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 » sounded like it was never in doubt! Hell of a finish! Score tied 19-19 at the :35 second mark. Redskin kicker Nick Novak misses a 49 yarder giving the Cowpies the ball. 35 yard attempt by Cowpie kicker Mike Vanderjagt is blocked by Troy Vincent at :06 mark. Vanderjagt once went a whole season without missing a kick! Sean Taylor returned the blocked kick to the Dallas 44. Cowpies were penalized 15 yards for face mask. Though time had expired, the penalty gave the Skins one more play. Novak's 47 yard attempt wins it.
new2habano Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 Have no fear T.O. is here. Cowboys will rally back from this debacle and win the east on T.O's shoulders.
VigorishSLC Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 » Have no fear T.O. is here. Cowboys will rally back from this debacle and » win the east on T.O's shoulders. They'll do it on his shoulders all right....Lord knows his hands aren't getting it done. Even I could have caught that long ball in the 4th Q.
Ken Gargett Posted November 6, 2006 Author Posted November 6, 2006 is that the same TO that was penalised for sleeping in the end zone? from what i have heard, even a short run is enough to bugger him these days. good luck winning that division. and may i say that freefallguy has gone deafeningly silent???
12stones Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 As much as I love seeing the Cowboys lose, I gotta say that 15yd facemask at the end was bogus. It should have only been a 5yd and the field goal wouldn't have been even close had that happened. But, that's the nature of the game, right? Anytime the Cowboys lose is a good day. :-D
new2habano Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 This isn't Mal Meninga we are talking about, this is T.O. a real football player with talent. The Boys will recover and ride off into the sunset with the NFC East Championship just like Americas team should. the more pressing question I have is Mark Brunell allowed to accept his social security checks while still playing for the redskins?
Ken Gargett Posted November 8, 2006 Author Posted November 8, 2006 who is the guy that looks like chevy chase? first, i saw more than enough of meninga, for teams i supported (qld, aust) and hated (souths in brizzy) and didn't mind (canberra) to know that at full force, he'd have made a mess of an awful lot of ego driven idiots. at full flight, he was awesome, though with lewis on the same side, he always looked a far better player. not to say owens doesn't have talent but it is a bit like aker, is it worthwhile for all the crap he brings? for aker, definitely not. for owens, possibly. second, i just love the way that the blinkered supporters of the most overhyped, overrated puff pansies playing sport (outside the pies), will grab any straw. season is gone fellas and the best news is that all the momentum was taken from you by the skins. ain't that going to hurt come finals time. even if we don't make it (and in the very wee small hours, i may sometimes admit that is a possibility), you hopeless water buffaloes stuck in the mud are gone for this season. but keep hoping, keep dreaming. unfortunately, miracles don't come along more than once a season and this year has just had its miracle. if ever there was evidence of a divinity... 3rd, brough back memories. when i was in DC, i made one game live (got tickets from scalpers). skins v cowgirls in '89/'90 at RFK. minus 5, cheerleaders in 8 layers of clothes and it was one of two or three games that the cowgirls won all year. miserable experience all round. but the glorious skins did go on and win the bowl i think. rypien's year?
anacostiakat Posted November 8, 2006 Posted November 8, 2006 Oh, and only amongst a crowd of ‘skins fans would you see one of them beatin’ up on their own. What tossers. Guess you never been to Phillie!
Freefallguy Posted November 8, 2006 Posted November 8, 2006 Scoreboard, Ken, scoreboard... THE RIVALRY Cowboys-Redskins may be pro football's most contentious rivalry, but it hasn't been one of the most competitive. Dallas has won 15 of the last 18 meetings, including a 27-10 victory at Texas Stadium on Sept. 17. That number would be even more one-sided had Washington not swept the season series last year. Overall, Dallas has won 55 of the teams' 93 meetings. The Cowboys have only faced on team (Philadelphia, 94) more times, and the 55 wins are their most over any other league team. http://www.dailypress.com/dp-gameday,0,7376001.story
kornazoo Posted November 8, 2006 Posted November 8, 2006 Greetings from Philly. Attn Dallas fans....you will not make the playoffs this year. And you know better than to wear Dallas gear to any game in Philly. Hatred for "America's Team" has become generational. And T.O? Let's see if he is on your roster next year, as he sure is disrupting things there like he did in Philly. Wanna know why he didn't catch that TD pass? Because the ball had "disrespected him" LOL!
smk819 Posted November 8, 2006 Posted November 8, 2006 Do we all forget that the Giants lead the division by 2 games?
new2habano Posted November 8, 2006 Posted November 8, 2006 First ,I would wear my Cowboy jersey, hat and coat in Philly. I'm from New York and you guys are panzies compared to us. Second, the Redskins won on a terrible call made by an official, we all know that should've beeen a 5yd facemask penalty. Third:lol:
anacostiakat Posted November 9, 2006 Posted November 9, 2006 Superbowl? BTW, are you actually from Dallas or Texas?
new2habano Posted November 9, 2006 Posted November 9, 2006 » Go Bucs You just like their helmets, you're not really a Bucs fan.
Freefallguy Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 » and may i say that freefallguy has gone deafeningly silent??? Au contraire Mnsr. Gargett(that's French for "to the contrary")... I’m here AND I was there! By all appearances, I was the only one from FOH at the game Sunday and despite the fact that I loathe the Foreskins incredibly and the once and future mighty Cowboys lost… it was a great game! It was surprising to see how much blue there was amongst the maroon and gold. The game was mostly lackluster going into the 4th. Despite thoughts here, the ‘boys dominated for the most part(as agreed upon by Howie). Regardless, all said that the game was to be talked about around the NFL for a long time. The bus trip back to the parking lot was a hoot… more than a few die-hard Cowboy fans laughing it off, with some good taunting of their own… one of which was that for this season, this game was the Superbowl for the Foreskins; it’s their highlight for the year. It’s incredible that this hapless bunch of losers could actually believe, despite the fact that they are dead last in the division, they are going to the Superbowl. Oh, and only amongst a crowd of ‘skins fans would you see one of them beatin’ up on their own. What tossers. TO was of course getting all the attention, though Romo had his share… and yeah, he got snagged for taunting, which amounted to nothing on the ensuing kickoff. More than worth it to hear the jeers of the crowd. You gotta love it. The real thrill of the game for me though was being able to take it all in with my 14 year old son, as he is a much bigger fan of the NFL(as will be evidenced here later) than I and it was his first ever pro game. He was absolutely enthralled, especially since our seats were only 14 rows off the field at the ‘boys tunnel. Trouble is, he won’t again see one for some time with such a climactic ending! I hate the Foreskins all the more, but wouldn’t trade the experience of being there! Reporting live(sort of)... Freefallguy. Silver and Blue Golden Boy Super Stud Oh No! Dan & Dad
Freefallguy Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 » That is roughly 60%. Big deal. :-) 15/18= 83.33333%
