Cohiba Esplendido

Tried my first today - singles, no codes, but imagine '05.

A fairly dark chocolate brown wrapper. Smooth but finely toothed, with a

fanatastic sheen. Aesthetically beautiful! It felt nice, with just a bit of give.

Used the Cuban cut on this - the prelight draw showed just the right resistance.

The first puffs were full on sweet cream and honey. These flavors

remained, though more subtly , as it settled in. Lukewarm tea became the main

component, with the cream and honey intermingling throughout. There were some

fruit and floral notes, but they did not linger.

It showed a tinge of youth, but overall was well balanced and integrated. I'd say

it was up to medium in body, smooth. The draw and burn were excellent. A very

nice cigar. Ken's original review, and Rob's addition are right on with my experience.

My only question with these would be of value, which of course is subjective. For

the price of one, you can get another very good churchill or DC, plus a nice

corona gorda or robusto.

I have a few more - time will tell.

I am more of a sublime pimp. I would like to get these to try but have hesitated due to the obvious.

I think I will follow Rob's advice (not Rhoan's LOL) when I am ready. This is a size I like to relax with.

  • 2 years later...

Mrs Supermodel has just presented me with a box of 25!

Totally gobsmacked!

What a treasure.

I must be doing something right....can't think what though. ;-)

Mind you, reading the foregoing it might be an effort to wade through 25 of the buggers.

The things we do for our art.

;-)
