Guest hellbub
I'm with Hal. Haven't had a Cazadores or Siglo I, but I smoked a Famosos a couple weeks ago that rendered me to the prone position. I told my wife I needed a nap.
Mel
Have not had one to strong for me. I agree the Sig. I is more power than you would expect for such a small cigar. The R&J Cazadores can be stout but not excessively. My fresh SD4 are pretty tough and the RA Giantes is a hell of a smoke that builds up pretty good. Non Habanos-Padron 1926-Holly Crap! Strong and harsh is what I am saying. I never did understand what people meant by they couldnt have it on an empty stomach. Also Never can remember getting a "buzz" of a cigar, but then I have been smokeing alot the past year( usually 4 to 7 a day)
Tampa1257
As for a Habanos that is Consistently Strong, I would say that the RyJ Cazadore would be the King.

I have to say the PSD4s I have are full bodied and powerful little bastards. Ive yet to try the Trini Reyes, but its now on my "to get soon" list:-D
Freefallguy
» Let me know your pick. Mine would have to be the Cohiba Siglo I’m with you on this one Rob; it’s one of my favorite cigars and sometimes I find myself just pausing mid-smoke, looking at the Sig I and thinking “Wow, where did that come from?” Dynamite does indeed come in small packages! At times I might feel a small nicotine effect I guess this is what they call a buzz. Stomach contents irrelavent for me. I just can't smoke walking up the mountain at 95 degrees and enjoy yhe cigar. Harsh is bad, full(strong) is not. Strong may not be harsh. To mild is not satisfying.

I've had many that were full bodied, but few that were "strong" in the nicotine-buzz category. Probably the strongest was a fresh Cohiba VI from close to the first release. Even it was just full bodied and young, not "knock-your-socks-off-strong." For non-Habanos, I would have to say the Joya de Nicaragua Antano 1970 line is around 2-3 times as strong as the Padron 1926. There is at least one size that I can't and won't even smoke. geoffrie
» Let me know your pick. Mine would have to be the Cohiba Siglo » 1.....powerhouse little bugger just pipping out the Trinidad Reyes. Yep, the Sig I is a little firecracker.... thank goodness. The cazadores are raw and rough. I would also add to the list fresh BBFs. They usually require a full meal and a seat belt for me. Cartman
For me it would have to be either the RyJ Cazadores or the Bolivar Coronas Extra.

Ben
» ryj cazadores - absolute hell on an empty stomach. See I don't see this. I once smoked two in a row to see if I could get a understanding of why this stick has its fearsome reputation. Didn't do much for me it must be said. I'd vote for the Trinidad Robusto that baby has punch.
shrink
I've had Bolivar CE's that made Cazadores taste like a bubblegum cigar. Don't get me wrong.... I LIKE bubblegum cigars.

I have gone through 2 boxes of the xtras and wont by more for they are less flavorful and very mellow.
CigarZen
» Let me know your pick. Mine would have to be the Cohiba Siglo » 1.....powerhouse little bugger just pipping out the Trinidad Reyes. I agree that the Siglo I and Cazadores can be quite strong -- :-P :-P -- but one of the strongest sticks was a Taboado (sp?) Double Pyramid, lots of ligero but still smooth. Have not had much luck with Reyes. :-( :-(

Bill Hayes
The Partagas 8-9-8 'varnished' is like Ali in the 'Rumble in the Jungle' - The Sleeping Elephant - it starts with smooth jabs, then plays rop-a-dope, only to floor you with a cracking right cross when you least expect it. ;-) The Reyes and Siglo 1 are the perfect blend of strength and flavour. So even if you are a little woozy every now and then, at least you're happy. :-D
habanohal
Well have had 2 of the RYJ Cazadores. A good enough cigar where I put them on my list for more boxes. Never really been into the RYJ line except for the ELs, but this cigar has made me a believer and I owe it to Pres for bringing this up. Thanx
