El Presidente Posted May 8, 2006 Posted May 8, 2006 I am a firm believer that the faster the burn the lower the flavour complexity of a cigar. For reference..how long does it take you to smoke a well rolled: Petit Corona Robusto Pirimide/Torpedo Lancero

A little break from work.... I like to take my time. And If I dont have the time, I dont smoke. For: PC - Hour to hour 20 min Robusto - hour and a half to hour and 45 min Pirimide - Hour and a half to 2 DC's - I could stretch the better part of 3 hours Love makin' with the wifey - 45 if Im getting it steadily, 5 min if its once that week.:-|

habanohal Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 » I am a firm believer that the faster the burn the lower the flavour » complexity of a cigar. » » » For reference..how long does it take you to smoke a well rolled: » » Petit Corona -- I would say 25 minutes » » Robusto--- 40 minutes » » Pirimide/Torpedo----45- 50 minutes » » Lancero--Just had a Cohiba Lancero and it was 66 minutes Als0 how is it that you can smoke a Lancero in 3 hours? That seems like quite a long time. I would think that with that much time it would constantly keep going out
idesign Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 Petit Corona - 1 hr Robusto - 1 hr 20-30 mins Pirimide/Torpedo - 1 hr 40-50 mins Lancero - 1 hr 45 mins - 2 hrs

Shorter smoking for socializing and fun...longer smoking for concentrating and tasting. Wilkey
strayvector Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 For me it really depends on what I'm doing and the company I'm with, but generally the time it takes me for the following are: Petit Corona 45-60 min Robusto 60-75 Pirimide/Torpedo 75-90 Lancero 75-100
korryp Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 Petit Corona - 40 - 60 mins Robusto - 60 - 90 mins Pirimide/Torpedo - 90 -120 mins Lancero - 120 - 140 mins
Tampa1257 Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 I too am a firm believer that the faster you smoke, the least flavor you will get from a cigar. IMHO, you get a hotter and bitter burn and wasting a great cigar. Petit Corona = 50-75 minutes Robusto = 60-90 minutes Piramide/Torpedo = 90-120 minutes Lancero =90-120 minutes
JMH Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 Petit Corona - 1 to 1.25 hrs Robusto - 1 1/2 hrs Pirimide/Torpedo - 2 hrs Lancero - 2 to say 2.25 hrs All rough guesses. Nothing fumes me more than trying to smoke a hot cigar. I always smoke a smaller cigar than fiends if I know we're moving to a different place after we finish because they all smoke faster than me.
dogbreath Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 Petit Corona 40 - 60 minutes Robusto 1 hour Pirimide/Torpedo 1 hour 45 minutes Lancero don't know, never had one

harwellplant Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 Petit Corona 40 to 50 minutes, usually depending on how much wind is blowing while i am driving Robusto 50 mins to 1h15mins Pirimide/Torpedo 1 to 1h30mins for piramides, 50 mins to 1h15mins for campanas Lancero 1h30mins or so. admittedly don't smoke very many of them.
