Ken Gargett Posted April 4, 2006 Share Posted April 4, 2006 have been chatting with rob about including a separate section for forum members relating to wine (like we have the fakes and the reviews sections etc, even if most people seem just to use the general section). there seems to be a reeasonable level of interest but there are specialised wine forums (which seem to take themselves very seriously) and we are not lookinhg to replicate that. it would be very much exactly on the lines of the forum as it works now (as in, everything i say is inspired and rob is to be endlessly bagged). only rule is that anyone who likes sauv blanc is automatically expelled. is there enough interest out there from members or should we just leave things as they are? I'm a HUGE red fan, Cab, Pinot Noir, Shriaz/Sryah, Petit Sirah, Blends . . . Favorites are David Bruce Petit Syrah, Three Rings Shiraz (Austrailian), and Rex Goliath 47 Pound Rooster Pinot to name a few. . . Or one of each, thought I am not sure if there are going to be enough posts / input for each one. Fortunately, I can't stand Sauvignon Blanc, so I guess I'm eligible. When do you think you might start reviewing my favorite, White Zinfandel? Actually, anything available in jugs is of interest. I actually like Sauv Blanc during the summer or with some blackened fish on the grill. Anyway, I won't mention it here. Three Rings Shiraz - http://www.wine.com/wineshop/product_detai...u=p_family_name I think I paid a few bucks more, but it is a stellar wine and worth every penny (great bang for your buck).
