i see we have just hit 900 members, which is fantastic (especially for rob and his bank manager) and shows just how successful a forum like this can be. rob is still mulling over my suggestion to send all members a celebratory cigar.

how long before we hit 1,000? i think we should run a book (no doubt rob will be happy to offer a prize - he is feeling very generous this morning, even if he doesn't know it).

if rob can toss a few people off the forum (i would prefer it wasn't me) then i think early may. otherwise, july. so i'm going for june 26.

As with any significant milestone, there's this sense of bittersweet. I'll always wish Rob the best of times.

one does one's best and expects no reward (or even the opportunity toi occasionally be in on the mystery cigar). the real reward comes in helping those less...

Hmmmm, methinks it is one of those competitions where the integrity of the result could be easily compromised by those of little ethics. I'm backing July 10 and am keeping an eye on the names of new members (such as D. Duck and M. Mouse, etc)...

Size is not everything! What are we talking about? Oh the membership. I have mixed feelings about the group being so large but some of them are selfish if I was to be transparently honest.

On the other side with mass comes energy and energy can be used to perform work or cause change. Rob I am glad your goals are being realized and keep up the good work for us little guys.

apparently our effort for this comp has fallen on deaf 'presidential' ears as rob is also of the view that there could be skullduggery - i for one, am shocked that he would think that of his own members but he is certain that if we ran it, members 905 to 1000 would be nonexistent.
