There wouldn't necessarily be more than a few. Cuba wastes nothing that's why there are inconsistencies. Most people feel quality control was 'off' that day, but most times they know what's going on but just don't care. They would rather not waste anything than throw away a whole bunch of printing. If they caught it in time then there would only be a few and they used them.

Great find, Rob! A collectable!:-D

I bought a couple of boxes of BGM last fall and one of them has "25 GOLD MEDALS" printed on the side! Too bad it wasn't true...

"OK, repeat after me. "De."

"De."

"Mi."

"Mi."

"Tasse."

"Tassy."

"Nonono! This is your problem. Repeat. Tasse."

"Tassy."

"Oscar! There is no 'y.' It is like 'ass.' It slides off your tongue like snake. We do again. De."

"De."

"Mi."

"Mi."

"Tasse."

"Tassy."

"Damn you Oscar. Go back to the sorting room."

» Rob, with all due respect, I dont agree with your logic that nobody fakes

» demi tasses simply because they could fake more expensive cigars. I mean,

» you and I certainly wouldnt fake DTs, but people fake coins FFS, so why not

» a box of DTs?

You are probably right Claudius in that nothing is beyond being faked. The box in question was part of a normal shipment of Demi Tasse and of the 40 odd boxes received from PCC it was the only one printed in this manner. At the time I sent photo's to PCC and requested if any other boxes were printed in that manner I would take them ( great collectors item :-D ). Unfortunately not.

Put it down t either incompetence or a practical joke where the problem was discovered and all but this box recovered. The cigars themselves were perfect ERDM Demi Tasse.

Over the years we have come across tens of thousands of boxes of Habanos cigars and the one below still get's a laugh out of me.

Both boxes are genuine item yet the bottom one you would swear to be a fake.

In fact it is strictly a matter of poor quality control at printing.

Now, this is not that common, but it does occur. The real test are the cigars themselves. A misprinted box is not irrefuteable evidence of fakes.

It seems to have been a habit with ERDM. I got these in an LCDH in Europe over the summer.

They're from '99 and some of the darkest Choix Supreme I've seen.
