Popular Post El Presidente Posted 12 hours ago Popular Post Posted 12 hours ago Di and I have quite a relaxing weekend planned. The wind is howling so taking the boat out is not an option. I got up at 5am (slept in!) to do a little work. We will head off to work and gym this morning before tackling a couple of hours of chores. This afternoon I have booked the 1:45 session of The Odyssey and a couple of reclining seats. Before that I will put on the Pork Neck (6-8 hrs) and we can have some pulled pork burgers and gravy once we get home. Rugby tonight, Australia V Italy. The Wallabies may have finally found someone they can beat in Rugby...maybe. If we get knocked over by Italy then I am sure we will sound out Haiti for a Rugby Test Series. Anyway, Fenomenos or Indulgencia for the Rugby game! Sunday is a genuine sleep in until 7am. Walk/Gym + gardening. It keeps me out of the house...where Di is doing actual work. I have to try and repair the damage I did last week when I stripped a hex bolt on the spring loaded outdooor drop screen. I reckon I am f***** as I did a hell of a job on it. I have gone an purchased an oversized hex drilly thing which I can ram in there and hopefully get some purchase. I haven't told Di yet. If my grand plan doesn't work then I will call the manufacturer in the am and get them to make another drop screen. DIY is my Kryptonite. I make no secret of it. Lunch wth Di's mum and side of the family at some Chinese restaurant in one of the the whitest parts of town. That is generally a fantastic combination...KKK suburb and Asian cuisine. Still, I live in hope. It can't be any worse than my father's favourite Chinese restaurant where we celebrated his 93rd birthday last Sunday. Seriously, I've had more authentic Chinese cuisine at McDonald's. I was a hair's breath away from pulling our waiter Rick over (the only Rick from Guangzhou in history) and pay him $50 if he had the balls to swallow the Shenzhen Chicken Curry he delivered. Bugger me, a 5 year old with a can of Keens curry powder could have replicated that crap. ...Where was I..? Let us know what you are up to this weekend! Have an absolute cracker! 2 3
Popular Post dan05 Posted 10 hours ago Popular Post Posted 10 hours ago Well, while I was at work last night I find that I was volunteered to take my daughter (9yrs) out for bowling and lunch today. I’m not complaining, we enjoy daddy/daughter days and she usually whips me at bowling anyway, I’m a shocker. Then I might take a leaf out of El Pres’ book and put on some slow cooked pork to make some pork and slaw rolls for dinner with a spicy home made BBQ sauce. Then I plan to sit down and order some H Upmann Magnum 46s. Just starting to build up the cigars and thought I’d start with the Magnums. On Sunday I will get up late, but actually late as I’m going to be on night shift for the foreseeable future. Not so bad since I can come home to a quiet house and a peaceful cigar. Nothing else to report really. Good luck with the diy today Rob. 💩 It can go sideways very easily when you do it yourself. But that’s half the fun. Have a great weekend all. 5
Goldeneye Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago A weekend of yard chore and dog walks for the most part, which is how I like it. I will try to get a little bit of a run in and a sauna. Having my parents and kids over Sunday for bbq cedar plank salmon. Started the weekend off with a Padron 3000 and hope to have a couple equally good cigars as well. Have a good weekend FOH! 3
Mr.Q121 Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago It's my nephew's birthday today, so we're meeting up for some trap shooting and grilling on Saturday afternoon. My two girls have never been trap shooting will have them take a lesson first since they will pay better attention to a Stranger than me even if we are both saying the extract same thing. Hopefully there will be time for a cigar as well. Getting up early on Sunday to go on a nice walk before it gets too hot. Hopefully my daughter gets up early enough so I can have her practice driving a bit more before taking her driving test. I'm sure I'll need a drink after that. LOL, after that take my wife out to lunch and run a couple of errand before relaxing in front of the TV for the evening. 2
MeLlamoHabano Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago I started my weekend today. I smoked a Cohiba Panetela while drinking my morning espresso, then went golfing with my brother and we smoked D4’s together. Now I'm waiting for the 'ole lady to get ready so we can go out for a night on the town. Also our city is a FIFA fan zone so we're definitely going to watch the third place game down there tomorrow night, then like usual mow the lawn after walking the dog on Sunday while relaxing for the rest of the day! Have a great weekend everyone. 3

I've got a kid re classing school for lacrosse this coming year…crazy what we blow on sports these days. Trying to move beyond a couple paintings that are not improving. 7

Beautiful, I appreciate you sharing. 1
El Hoze Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago We are in Steamboat Springs, CO. Beautiful weather but we have a ~400 acre wildfire about 10 miles to the south of us. The way the wind blows generally we have not gotten much smoke, and it is spreading in the most favorable direction into a deep rugged wilderness area. They are fighting it with teams of “Super Scooper” airplanes. Not sure if you have ever seen these guys operate but they are incredibly bad a**. They skim the top of the water in these fairly tight areas and then deliver it to the fire. They always work in teams of two. They are also using Sikorsky Skycrane helicopters. Another beast. 2 1
JohnS Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I watched The Odyssey with my adult daughter (who lives away from home) in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney (near where she lives) in 70 mm projection to start the weekend on Friday night. I don't care what silly criticisms people have about using American accents or casting, this is every bit a classic Christopher Nolan film, like his many others. I will watch it again, for sure. I rehearsed songs for Sunday for church because I'm rostered on. Some songs were for piano, one was for lead guitar, one was for bass. That was fun. I plan do some more Duolingo too. I noticed the Italian course has been changed to be equal in length (or thereabouts) with French and Spanish this weekend. Previously it was only four sections, now it is a full eight sections. Good stuff!

Di loved the movie and only had to wake me up once. How did it take 10 years to take Troy when the imposing wall was about the height of a quality bunnings/home depot extension ladder? Bugger me One Cyclop, a tribe of slightly bigger morons in armour, prostitute singing mermaids, a rock worm? The teletubbies would have been more frightening. And what about leadership competence? He starts his trip home from Troy with 600 men. He is the only one to make it back. He makes the captain of the Costa Concordia look like Horatio Nelson. Let's not forget the heart touching reunification with his wife. I noted there was no mention he was late home because he was banging Charlize Thereon on an island for Seven years. I am 7 minutes late and Di would be asking "so did you meet anyone new today?" Fantasy indeed 🙄
