Popular Post westg Posted July 5 Popular Post Posted July 5 What a superstar and incredible young woman. I just love it when someone wins because no one thinks they can. The sheer determination, fight and composure of this young woman is so amazing. The way she interviews...with so much wisdom, maturity and insight is well beyond her years. What an absolute superstar. I am sure we have Philippines brethren amongst us. Enjoy! 7
99call Posted July 6 Posted July 6 I've always hated the John McEnroe logic that to be a winner you have to be a self centred, petulant egotistical ass****e. It's just nonsense, having drive has nothing to do with being selfish, those people just ARE ass*****s and competing is a comfortable way for them to excuse their own personal short comings. I think its very interesting with someone like Djokovic, in the latter part of his career, he's realised that Federer and Rafa will be remembered as Greats of the game, and great people...gentlemen...the whole package. I feel as if he is the same person he always was, but now he's realised be needs to play a part and ingratiate himself with the everyday tennis fan. Huge congratulations to Eala, a winner and a nice person to boot. 4
