Popular Post El Presidente Posted June 27 Popular Post Posted June 27 Winds up so fishing called off. Di has roped into some gardening this morning before a zoom session with Hamlet. He has arrived back from a business trip to Antwerp so he will want a quick meeting to catch up. I suspect it will go for three or four days...it will feel like it. I have to shoot some Short Cut Videos today, read my newspapers, try out some new blend lancero, cook a magnificent steak on the BBQ, watch Rugby. Full day! Sunday we are herding the parents on both sides and taking them to dim sum/Yum Cha. Diana's mum Rena and my mum Maria love the plump prawn/shrimp spring rolls. My dad loves the chicken feet and tripe. I just love to see them all having a laugh together. It is nice when both sides of the family get on like a house on fire. Back from Yum Cha, drink + Newspaper, 40 minute kip, up and plan next week over a cigar. What's up for the Weekend? 11
Popular Post Fireball Posted June 27 Popular Post Posted June 27 I FINALLY have a real vacation. My last vacations had a lot of work mixed in so it wasn’t the reset I needed. This one - no travel, just two weeks at a lake with extended family. Lots of USA 250th celebrations in sure. I will surely take some Cubans, but I am growing tired of wondering if I am going to have construction issues. Probabaly a RASS, a CORO (celebratory) - then some BR and Fab 5. I don’t get a lot of down time - and lately it has been ruined by Cuban construction. So good times ahead. 12
Popular Post loose_axle Posted June 27 Popular Post Posted June 27 Golf sim round and lunch with a few mates earlier today. Tomorrow is seeing another mate and his wife with their newborn and then off to another lunch. Couple of birthdays this coming week so will be getting a cigar or two in then hopefully. 10
Popular Post JohnS Posted June 27 Popular Post Posted June 27 I enjoyed catching up with some longtime friends (whom my wife and I have known for over thirty years) for some authentic Italian pizza and wine for dinner this weekend. I also enjoyed a few cigars while watching the World Cup. This is the first weekend in a while were I haven't had to catch up on some form of administrative responsibilities do with my work during the weekend. It's nice to enjoy the simple things and relax! 10
Popular Post Greenhorn2 Posted June 27 Popular Post Posted June 27 If I can borrow another crock from someone, I'm going to make 50 lbs (roughly 23 kilos for the rest of the world) of sauerkraut, if not, it will be 25 lbs. 15
Popular Post Chibearsv Posted June 27 Popular Post Posted June 27 Headed home after visiting my parents. Golf Sunday before the oven turns on starting Monday. 13

Popular Post Watchcigar Posted June 27 Popular Post Posted June 27 Well, I'm newly retired so every day is the weekend for me now. 😆 That being said, we have brunch with neighbors today and brunch with my two daughters tomorrow. 8
Popular Post Wookie Posted June 27 Popular Post Posted June 27 Golf with kids. Lacrosse tournament. Painting some stillife, portraits, interiors and landscape. Good weekend to all. 12
Popular Post ha_banos Posted June 27 Popular Post Posted June 27 Nothing planned. Survive the heat wave Saturday. Done. Watched new Masters of the Universe movie. Can I please press undo on that life mistake? Watching the England - Panama "rolling around on the floor" game now. Cooler tomorrow. Will pop by to see dad. Will make it earlier in the day. So I can take time for a cigar later. Just chilling. 6 1
