El Presidente Posted April 1 Posted April 1 I have had a charmed run purchasing online. Well, that was until yesterday I ordered a set of Maui Jim Lewalani sunglasses from online French outfit https://www.visio-net.com/ . I already own two sets of these Lewalani MJ's in different lense colours. I love them and as they are discontinued, I tracked down the last of the range in France. Did a little due diligence on the seller, all looked good. Ordered online, shipped by FEDEX, arrived in a timely manner. Brilliant! Opened the package. The glasses were not MJ Lewalani but rather MJ Lanakila. $100 cheaper set of MJ. The packaging/barcoding was indeed for what I ordered but alas the glasses were not. No problem. I reached out with photos/email. I would return them and they would send through the correct glasses. What I got back instead from "Giles" was as follows: Claim Decision Because the external labels and internal tracking codes confirm that the correct glasses were shipped, we must decline your claim for an incorrect item. Based on our verification of the manufacturer's automated packing process, it is not possible for the wrong item to have been contained within that specific, correctly labeled box. I hope this clarifies our position and the verification steps we have taken. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any further questions. Best regards, Gilles Visionet So effectively, I have been accused of switching out the glasses....i.e. fraud. .....now that rubs me the wrong way. I have never done a chargeback in my life! Looking so good! Damn. My existing Lewalani as a comparison. It is not a big deal in the scheme of things. I have had a charmed run in shopping online. Still this has been my worst online shopping experience. Share your worst online shopping experience with us 4
sactochris Posted April 2 Posted April 2 A couple of weeks ago I bought a one piece Black Laquer and chrome Waterman Hemisphere ballpoint pen with a medium point on eBay. They sent me a stainless steel Hemisphere two piece roller ball pen with a fine point. Oh! And to top it off, it's fake. It's not actually a genuine Waterman pen. They did the exact same thing to several other people. They haven't responded to my repeated emails. P.S. ebay just refunded my money without even requiring that I return the pen the seller sent me. 3
Boss Hog Posted April 2 Posted April 2 People still shop on eBay? Haven’t been on there in years. Place was filled with crooks and counterfeited products. A cesspool, essentially. 🤣 2 1
sactochris Posted April 2 Posted April 2 I've been buying on eBay since 1999. This is the first problem I've ever had. 2
yossie Posted April 2 Posted April 2 I ordered a box of Partagas Coronas from a famed vendor, not Czars, 15 year ago or so. They claimed shipped, but I still haven't received it until today. 1 2

LordAnubis Posted April 2 Posted April 2 I had an interesting one recently. There’s a chicken shop chain on east coast (note no store west). Recently made famous for selling for almost a billion to an overseas company. A friend in Melbourne's birthday. He likes their chicken. So from Perth I went online on their website and ordered for a particular time (end of the day of fasting). So I select the Melbourne store, select delivery time of 19:30. Sorted. Completed order said 19:30 at checkout. Get a confirmation email that says 10:30 (it’s converted it to Melbourne time or something from Perth time). They have no support desk, no phone number that works nothing. Eventually someone on Facebook replies and says the order is cancelled. So I make another order for immediate delivery and think nothing of it. The grind was later woken up at 10:30 with chicken at the door 😂 I got my money back for the wrong order but was a hassle going through with them. Just cancelled the payment via the bank and that got it done. Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. 3 1 1

All good mate. I don't take these things too seriously. I have only made it my life's work to destroy his business. 5
westg Posted April 2 Posted April 2 I ordered a box of My Father Le Bijou on line. That cigar still gives me nightmares. 1
Cayman17 Posted April 5 Posted April 5 I bought this for myself a year or so ago from Nordstrom online thinking I would save a few bucks because most stores charge double for these types of watch stands. Total piece of c**p. The post is wobbly and it would not tighten. I tried to glue it together and just wasted some gorilla glue. Nordstrom should be ashamed to sell them. 1 2
