Popular Post El Presidente Posted Friday at 10:27 PM Popular Post Posted Friday at 10:27 PM Relatively quiet one this weekend which makes a nice change. walk and gym now (after I tap this out), Zoom with Hamlet, knock out a couple of hours work, read the newspapers + Negroni (3) followed by Saturday arvo kip. I think I will cook up some pork rack for dinner and have an espresso martini movie night + a Fenomenos. Need to find a 2 hour plus movie classic. ......will report back. Tomorrow (Sunday), Ben and I are taking the boat out for a 1/2 day fish. I haven't been out for a while so am looking forward to spending the time with Ben and hopefully bringing home some dinner. There are a couple of cigars in the Fabrica 5 development pipeline I need to try, so that will deliver the perfect opportunity. What's up for the weekend? 7
loose_axle Posted Friday at 10:36 PM Posted Friday at 10:36 PM Quiet one also. Brunch with some friends tomorrow but today is life admin which I'm hoping to get through by 4 or so and then I've got Nobody 2 to watch with some ginger garlic chicken stir fry I've been marinating overnight. Some nice whites in the fridge so it'll be a cruisy evening. Hopefully step out onto the balcony for a cigar after. 3

Enjoy!

Popular Post frenchkiwi Posted yesterday at 02:26 AM Popular Post Posted yesterday at 02:26 AM Was going to start sanding and varnishing but oops ... found a water stain I need to bleach first and no wood bleach. Fortunately my good lady is at the DIY store, so while I'm waiting.Punch Short de Punch in the sun (2024 box from Czars) picked it because the foot had such a sweet scent and sure enough, nice white sugar on a mild sour dough body, touch of cedar, so light it doesn't need a drink... heaven! Sheesh...this DiY work is so hard! 😜 6 1
Popular Post El Niño Posted yesterday at 03:57 AM Popular Post Posted yesterday at 03:57 AM Celebrating my birthday tomorrow! I invited only the people who are absolutely closest to me – those whom I love. My dear, dear friend, @Kilpatrick (who I recently turned onto Fab5!) suggested leek soup after finding put my favorite drink is Pol Roger. So the menu is baguettes, chips 'n' caviar, potato leek soup, ham & gouda sandwiches, Pol Roger, and a Swiss roll made by my fair lady. If the weather will allow, I'll light up a Robusto Trinity. To keep the evening from becoming too French, we'll have the NFL playoffs blaring loud and proud the whole time! 😉 Cheers y'all, enjoy your weekend! 8
WestCoastSmokin Posted yesterday at 05:23 AM Posted yesterday at 05:23 AM Busy weekend. It’s the wife’s Birthday weekend. Today (Friday) came to MIL’s house to stop by and say hi, spend the evening here. Tomorrow taking the wife out to dinner. We’ll be going to our first Omakase ever. Then Sunday we’ll be heading out to do some wine tasting with my brother in law and his fiancée. Gonna try to sneak in a cigar tomorrow and Sunday. 4

JohnS Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago I'm just waiting for the rain to stop. Last weekend it was 42°C (I think that's around 110°F) and this weekend it's the exact opposite. I think 110 mm (or 4.3 inches) of rain has fallen in my suburb in the last 24 hours. It's not all 'doom and gloom' though, as my wife and I caught up with some dear friends last night for dinner and wine; the rain eased, and we enjoyed some fine cigars on the deck outside. Today, I will be watching the NFL postseason games (and tomorrow). 3

NYGuido Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Solo parenting this weekend. Went to the NYC transit museum in Brooklyn followed by his first cheesecake and egg cream at Junior’s. A Spada Gorda after he goes to bed. A joint and watching Brockmire after the Spada Gorda. And tomorrow will be a nice day at home with just us and the animals. I did upgrade my wife to first class for her flight home, so tomorrow night might be more fun 😉 1
Habanos2000 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Looking forward to welcoming the LA Rams to Chicago tomorrow. 15 degrees F, no roof. Deal with it. 2
